I don't know, I enjoy My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy....kidding. Mineral, Texas Is The Reason, Rainer Maria, Rival Schools, The Promise Ring, American Football, Christie Front Drive, Penfold, old Appleseed Cast and Desaparecidos, Jawbox, etc..
I've always wanted to start a project that mixed some RnB with borderline twinkle guitars.

 

I'm pretty sure this isn't an unpopular opinion here, but my friend made me listen to a full Ed Sheeran album last week and man was it boring

 

Did they make you listen to it ironically ?

 

I have heard a handful of Sheeran songs and I cannot remember what any of them sound like. Except "Shape of You". FUUUUUUUUCK that song

 

I hate when people act like Ed Sheeran is so deep because his lyrics are awful
"talk for hours and hours about the sweet and the sour"

I can't even name a song by this guy. Not even sure I've heard one in passing. Don't know how I've managed to pull that off.

 

I dig a handful of Ed Sheeran songs. Some of his stuff annoys me and he does have some awful lines but I don't think he's that bad.

There was one song where in the chorus he really over pronounces the word "religion" so it has four syllables and it drove me frickin nuts
also the opening track had some of the worst fake deep lyrics I've ever heard

my main problem with Ed Sheeran is how he and Drake are peak "nice guy"

 

surprised you're not into the better ones though. foxing, everyone everywhere, empire! empire! (i was a lonely estate), prawn, TWIABP, football etc...they all hit very different realms but they do a lot of those things super well

i'm more just surprised than anything

I don't think Drake tries to be as "nice guy" anymore but got Ed Sheeran is annoying. My grandpa plays him all the time.

One of my favourite things is pictures of people who thought they met Ed Sheeran but it's actually just some random ginger guy.

Sheeran is fine, the nice guy thing is overstated, and group think on "bad artists" is boring as hell. He has some turds, some great songs and some solid stuff.

Saw Mumford for the second time last week. They put on a great live show and their newest album was decent. Won't go out of my way to listen to them but I still never got the huge backlash about them. The Wolf is a dope song

 

if you read his lyrics and interviews it really isnt tho, he's a bit of a piece of shit
