Man I wish I had record deals to reject :(

 

this is the best twinkly emo album from the "revival" era

 

There is a Hell by BMTH is a phenomenal record aside from Anthem, and I think all the praise that Sempiternal gets is more deserved on TIAHBMISI...

 

Heath was my favorite midtown singer

 

i wish people would buy my beats but we cant all be super stars, or moderately successful, or not complete failures

 

I remember when It Never Ends dropped, my mind was completely blown. I think that album has the benefit of following a truly terrible album and seeming better in comparison to Suicide Season, but I think Sempiternal is better on the whole. They're close though.

 

but what about Turnover

 

I don't know how unpopular this sentiment is, but I pretty much find most newer emo bands embarrassingly bad. I also loathe the term "twinkly" when describing guitar work.

 

Powerline was the original twinkle music, really.

 

Foxing and World Is a Beautiful Place?

 

never heard the expression "twinkle" applied to music before. interesting.

 

I like a few Foxing songs, and really like one The World Is... song, everything else of theirs not so much. As far as the "emo revival" group of bands, The Hotelier is the only one I love.

never been able to get into Foxing or The Hotelier. they both do nothing for me.

I remember thinking it was too epic for me, at the age of 14 lol. I've grown to love it, and it beats Sempi by miles. Suicide Season is half great half meh tho, same with Spirit actually

I'm not really a big fan of the hotelier or world is, but foxing is goddamn perfect.

but actually with bands like the hotelier and world is, i suppose i haven't listened to them enough to make a real judgement call. Listened to albums from both of them but they didn't really grip me enough to listen again.

 

There Is a Hell is easily my favorite BMTH album. It Never Ends pulled me in instantly plus it's got Crucify Me, Alligator Blood, Blessed With a Curse, etc. It Never Ends will make me jam no matter when or where I am haha

 

Foxing, the World Is, and Hotelier, assuming them as the heads of the emotionally revival, are all better than their respective heads of the original movement.

 

i'm still trying to figure out what sort of emo this person is talking about in order to figure out how to approach this statement
