You're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation. Again.

I agree with you, but I'd rather it end abruptly than run the risk of the show petering out with diminished quality.

Way too many shows fall victim to this at the cost of the show's legacy.

    For example:
    - The Office: 2 seasons too long; Should have ended when Steve Carrell left the show
    - House of Cards: At least 1 season too long; Will likely end up being 2 seasons too long
    - Game of Thrones: TBD, but approaching a point of concern

Loved that this last episode explained and then made fun of the reasons why the guy blew up the nuclear sub in the previous episode.

Good way to work that explanation into the show for viewers that don't peruse message boards or the internet for more details on the show.

just seeing the title of the episode was enough to get me HYPED

Sorry if this had already been answered on the show, but why is the seventh anniversary (in terms of any anniversary) considered the one that will signal the Apocalypse?

The book of Revelation has seven years of tribulation so I imagine that's a big factor

Insignificant...but was the alarm sound in this episode the same one as in International Assassin?

One potential view may be that he continued the Christ metaphor and by willingly sacrificing himself, he saved the world where Nora is (if the flood is real?), and this episode was mostly about finding closure within himself for her.

Also, why didn't they close THIS episode with the same song from the opening episode of this season?

Would have been a nice tie back given that kevin and his dad were on the roof and the season opened with that little vignette.
