Still, the US could technically remain in the Paris Agreement, not live up to its Nationally Determined Contribution, and have nothing happen since the pact is non-binding. its more of a pr message at this point than anything of substance (knowing that the NDC that the delegates under Obama put forward is woefully inappropriate and inadequate based on the US' historic, disproportionate contribution to climate change). At this point, I'd rather be out of the agreement so we can all assault his actions against the climate than staying in only to wholeheartedly ignore our responsilites

This entire story has left me a shell of a human this weekend

 

My main concern is that if we leave the agreement other countries may follow suit. We are one of the most powerful nations in the world and have a lot of influence.
