I love the names of like every place mentioned in Montana these last few days. I hate the direct quotes of every Montanan I've seen interviewed in the last few days.

 

I personally know some of those people. The attention brought on this state this week is certainly freaking people here out a little bit, but not enough for any of us to body slam anybody. (Gianforte is from CA, not a real Montanan).

 

Yeah I don't think he's winning, just wanna see that gap stay below 9-10%. If he can get in the 5-7% range, that'd be good news for Dem prospects---at least, to the point where you can extrapolate anything, which of course isn't very far.

 

WOAH here comes Silver Bow. Back to a 5.7% gap.

Big Horn County is disappointing, Quist losing that after Clinton won it.

This is where I'm at. There are just too many horrible, horrible people and they're all more emboldened than ever, and the people in charge of swinging things back are incompetent. I just don't see a way back from this.

Saying that in jest of course....My g/f and I are doing a road trip (was supposed to be this summer but pushed back to next because we bought a house), and I'm super super excited to make the drive from Yellowstone NP up to the east side of Glacier NP and going through the park. Gonna stop in Butte on the way for the required picture with a Butte sign, of course.

 

Well, I'm in Missoula now (the best part of MT). Glacier and Yellowstone are amazing, you'll love them. MT in general gets worse the farther east you go, so you'll be on the good side!

 

Just from pictures and all the National Park books I've read, I'm so so excited for Glacier. Wanna spend a least a day up in the northern wilderness near Kintla Lake if we can. Probably gonna do one of the less transversed areas of the park on the East side of the park too, either Cut Bank or Two Medicine.

 

Going to bed,can't wait around any longer tosee where the gap ends up....It is exctly a 7 point race now, 50.6 to 43.6, with 606/688 precincts reporting. Judging by the NYTimes map and where the counties are that still have precincts to report, I think the gap closes before the end, and he ends up losing by 6%. Not a bad place to end up if you were going to lose, tho it will cause a lot to wonder if it could have been won if more money was put into it.

 

Ugh. I'm sorry. At least you got this website as your little part of the world.

Yeah, I'm just a few counties away from a lot of white supremacists and confederate flags. Lots of that over in Kalispell.

EDIT: Somebody needs to photoshop Gianforte's face on the guy in the center and Ben Jacobs as the guy with "SINNER" on his back.

With this, O'Reilly and what is looking to be Hannity too, are we seeing right wing narratives hit their logical high point? I get it's most likely a case of money talking, but do we think that advertiser's pulling out of sponsoring these nutjobs is a sign that support has shifted away from that side of the political spectrum in the media?

 

I really hope it's that, now LBC need to get rid of Farage next.

 

Can someone explain "snowflake" because I've heard two different definitions... I originally thought it referred to millennials who were taught at a young age that we're "special and unique" like how no two snowflakes are alike. But I've also heard that since snowflakes melt, the terms refers to people who have "meltdowns" pretty easily over minuscule issues.

 

If anything, the Montana elections shows how important independent funding and organizing is.
