I reallyyyy regret not buying a $50 signed copy of this at the Detroit show.

 

I was listening to Say You'll Be There by Spice Girls today and cannot help but think they'd do an amazing cover of that song.

Same here. I find myself listening to ST more. I know "I Like It When..." is going to end up being a classic, but I honestly feel like their ST is a classic.

 

according to lastfm I've listened to the new one more but I don't think that's true. I'm guessing this is because apple music didn't scrobble to last when I had it.

 

I just scored passes to a private mini concert before Boston Calling on Saturday! They typically only allow for 3 songs at these, but I'm so excited.

Jealous! I can't afford Boston Calling this year. This is a pretty sweet consolation prize at least!

 

When this came out, I said it was better than ST. Now, I don't think that mindset gives proper credit to how genius the debut is. I think they compliment each other perfectly and serve different purposes so choosing one over the other doesn't make sense.

The band cancelled last minute on the private performance this morning. Didn't find out till I got to the venue! Ugh. Ah well. Had a good brunch in Boston at least haha

 

Boston Calling

 

I got a big smile out of how smart he's getting. I forget which song, but he was singing the hell out of the chorus, did a cool lead singer move away from the mic to duck the falsetto note, which the backing tracks took care of, and jumped right back in. Just a really savvy move.

They were terrific, man. Though Matty looks like he really doesn't enjoy performing "Sex" anymore.

 

he's really coming into his own as a front man and show man, hes been very charismatic the three times i saw them on this cycle.

 

Yeah I loved him tearing off little fuzzy guitar solos toward the end of...shit..."If I Believe You"?
