Leagues are overrated. My girlfriend is 1000x more attractive than me. But we're best friends and so we're talking kids and houses and shit.

 

True. My ex actually used to say I was our of her league, but I always thought it was quite the contrary, because she was seriously perfect to me. Then again I think I'm the ugliest person in the world no matter what so that's probably the issue.

 

Leagues are silly and most people seem to think way less of themselves than others do. Everyone always says I was out of my exes leagues and I don't think I was? It's nothing I ever thought about. Those were the ppl who expressed interest in me and I expressed it back. It's not like I have a line wrapped around the block lol. The last few guys who expressed interest in me I think were pretty cute but they were insecure that they weren't tall. Everyone has something I guess!

I would assume that most people go for people who they think are at least their equal or superior. Trying to get into a relationship with anyone who you feel is inferior to yourself sounds kind of weird and potentially manipulative.

I feel Bloodsucker's pain though. I remember getting chatting to this woman who I thought was very nice. We got talking about work and she dropped it in that she was working as an editor at a major newspaper. That completely flattened me, because I just couldn't see why she'd be even remotely interested in someone who was quietly beavering away in software support/consultancy. So, I didn't pursue the situation. Turned out that what she was doing was actually far less grand than it sounded.

Also, I am in the ashamed of dancing club. Having a girl pull me out onto a dance floor is a surefire way of burning my self confidence to the ground.

 

It's probably unhealthy to keep re-reading our messages & hoping that by some miracle she'll come back but I miss her so much. I keep having dreams about her. They make me feel so dead inside.

There's someone I know from online in a weird way, we talk a little on a Slack group we're both in and she lives near me. I want to see if she wants to hang out just on a friendly basis and have suggested so a couple times but I have no idea if she's up for it or not
