Fun fact: I always loved The Vandals and raved about how good Josh Freese was for years. My favorite album from them is Look What I Almost Stepped In... and was probably my favorite output of theirs on drums. It wasn't until like 15 years later that I realized it was actually Brooks filling in on drums for that album. Guy is so good.

  2. Crazy to think Brooks is in Avenged Sevenfold now. He's absolutely slaying it.

  3. Tom has said multiple times that he just wanted an outlet to write and record some darker songs that didn't fit for Blink, so yeah that makes sense. From what I can tell, he wrote the songs and then went into the studio and enlisted some friends to play the other instruments with him. With that in mind, it makes perfect sense that he'd ask Travis.

But then again, if he'd ask Travis, why wouldn't he ask Mark to do bass? And then why wouldn't they just make them Blink songs? Ahh, there's where it gets awkward!

I don't blame Tom for the BCR stuff. It seems innocent enough but if he didn't maybe he should have had a conversation with Mark and explain his reasoning as to why he was doing the album etc. I think Travis said Mark didn't know they were planning on touring so that was an issue too even if it was a small short tour.

Tom has stated numerous times that he just wanted BCR to be experimental so he could work on some different sounds/ideas outside of blink. He didn't ask Mark to join because he didn't want to turn it into something blink related. So you basically answered your own questions haha.

I could see Tom doing guest vocals on the third Blink 182 album ( Mark, Matt and Travis). Something like Mark's appearance on Elevator on BCR.

  6. i can't see that happening

Same here, I don't see it happening either. I just think having Tom as a guest on a blink album just opens up a huge can of worms. Nothing good can come from it.

Why? Mr Brett came back to join Bad Religion. It could be fun for all of them 5 or 6 years from now. Wouldn't happen on the next album, but I wouldn't rule out a guest appearance.

  9. Might be the last thing I could ever see happening

I'm pretty unfamiliar with Alkaline Trio, but I've been listening today and I just wanted to say I really like "Radio" . That is all.

I'll never get tired of Radio. I'll never understand that stance, it's not like it got overplayed on the radio or tv. Just cause it's usually their closer? So I've seen it live probably 9 times, it should've been ruined for me? Not attacking, just genuinely curious why so many die hard Trio fans are like that. Is it cause that's like the song that newbies are like "oh yeah, I love that song Radio of theirs" well yeah, you should love it, it's one of their greatest songs. Lol I really don't get it.
