Damn. Hopefully Sony and Microsoft were serious about the cross-platform gameplay.

 

That's probably the better idea, but I know I am not that patient.

 

i already have the GOTY editions of Asylum + City on Steam and I got them for like, $10 total. lol

 

They are some of the best games out there in regards to story and combat in the DC universe. I think you are the minority. I will gladly take another HD collection, especially the Arkham games.

 

The series came out just a few years ago, only HD remasters worth anything are games from xbox/ps2 and before...

Metro Redux was such an amazing value. I continue to feel the same about remasters: If it's a series/game I don't care for, I ignore it (Sleeping Dogs etc) and if it's one that I missed out on or loved, I grab it again and use it as an excuse to revisit.

Ps3/Xbox 360 had fantastic catalogues and I love that they are being kept alive, even if every one of them isn't for me. Wouldn't get Batman one for instance.

 

I also think remastering exclusives is smart. Master Chief Collection letting people revisit or discover the Halo series, Uncharted Collection letting people who missed out on the originals on PS3 give them a go before UC4. There's so many positives to remasters. Very few have been heartless cash grabs, I feel.

Yeah I still want to eventually get the Halo MCC because the only Halo I played at all was 4. So it would be worth it for me. Just not for a while because I want to finish a bunch of other games first and it's not really a priority right now.

 

I'm on PC and don't understand how any of this affects me. I already own the Arkham games, but let's step aside from that for a sec. Are remasters going from exclusive to cross-platform, in which case I'd be given the opportunity to play something I've missed out on, or?

 

So damn good. It's worth it for Halo 2 alone, which is just...amazingly remastered. Two and three are some of the best shooters out there and ODST is awesome as well.

 

I hear that. I think that is a problem most of us have! Haha.

 

Some are, some aren't. It's a mix bag. The best example is Uncharted Collection on PS4, since so many people switched from 360 to PS4 they probably never played the originals. It makes so much sense to give them a collection to experience.

Yeah, but that's still not on PC, right? So I still can't play it.

 

Console exclusives make sense, games already cross-platform make very little sense for a remaster.

Already played the Arkham Knight series on PC in recent years, good stuff but definitely not worth shelling more money to see again with nominal graphic improvements.

 

Speaking of Sleeping Dogs, it introduced me to the band Strange Talk. I always loved when this song came on while driving in-game.

Man, Sleeping Dogs was so good. We need a proper sequel. Come on Square!

 

Sleeping Dogs was a pretty solid open world GTA style game, arguably the best of the genre, but i really wish we'd get a game like that with, like, a good story :/
