The Far Cry game that was a Wii launch game did cause existential dread

 

Anyone else really looking forward to both the new Sonic games? I love the classic Sega Genesis games so Mania has me excited, but Forces looks really interesting too so I have my eye on that as well, especially with the character creation aspect.

Switch, PS4, Xbox One, & PC! I'll be getting them on Switch.

 

Yay! I'll probably grab Forces if it looks good. I like the 3D platform Sonic games but there aren't many good ones.

So I just beat the first Suikoden, it was such a fun playthrough. Just starting the second and I am so excited because I have seen people completely RAVE about this game.

 

Prey is getting really good.

As is P5, and Nier.

Playing three great games right now.

 

Mannnn new Farcry could be something wonderful. Easily my favorite Ubi franchise at the moment. Though never played 4.

 

the West needs more old school Japanese style bullet hell shooters. finding working English patches that'll run properly on modern computers is hard as shit. Jamestown is a relatively competent take (it suffers from a lack of focus mode and a hitbox a little too large for its play region), and some of the really popular ones have made it over to Steam, but I'd love to see more support for the Touhou games and more influence from the genre in general. but i suppose it's relatively niche

 

For Honor has the shittest online connection

 

I wish I could save more on runs. The combo I had here was almost game breaking.

 

I've really liked every Far Cry game I've played and this looks like an awesome departure

 

In defense of Far Cry 4, it had a much better story than 3 and I certainly loved the world of the game. Still though, 3 let you snipe sharks out of the water so there's that.

 

My favorite Ubi franchise is still those Rayman platformers. I hope we get another one of those.

 

Started playing MGS5 on Friday and man, the depth of the gameplay is just amazing

 

Yeah that game is so goooood.

 

I haven't really ever enjoyed a Far Cry game, but I'm curious to see how they handle portraying a Christian Cult as the antagonist. As a Christian I feel like games rarely do a great job of toeing the line. One of the few that I felt did a great job was Bioshock Infinite, which it was obvious they took their time to do the research necessary to fair understanding into certain doctrines and beliefs.

 

FC4 is my favorite setting. FC3 had the magic of being newish for the franchise. Never played Primal. Excited for 5.

 

Makes me want to get back in that game. Nothing beats assaulting your crew at Mother Base and listening to them thank you for it.
