I often find myself listening to their albums now and singing along rather than laughing.

Turtleneck & Chain is my favorite album, but they all have something to love. I think some of my favorite songs are on the Popstar soundtrack.

 

I don't remember this scene at all. I'm losing it right now.

Also, not strictly Lonely Island related but Jorma, but I have also never seen MacGruber and I'm pretty sure I'll love it...so that has to happen at some point.

 

MacGruber is great. I think Popstar is the objectively best LI movie, but Hot Rod might win in the subjective category. Does that make sense?

 

Totally. I think Popstar works better as a Lonely Island film because, well, it actually incorporates music (and fantastic Lonely Island tracks at that) despite being, necessarily, Samberg heavy tracks but damn if I don't love Hot Rod. Both are some of my favorite comedies in recent memory though.

 

I lump MacGruber in with Hot Rod and Popstar since they're essentially my 3 favorite comedies

 

Randomly heard We Need Love the other day and that has made its way back in rotation lol I like that song

 

Haha all of those 2 Guyz songs are great. Side note: I think Go Kindergarten is underrated.

 

I saw T-Pain last summer and he closed with I'm on a Boat and it completed my life.

 

Also underrated: I Fucked My Aunt. That song is deeply stupid but so good haha

 

I definitely consider MacGruber a Lonely Island project. It started out as an SNL Digital Short after all

Also if anyone in here has still not seen the Michael Bolton Valentine's Day Special on Netflix, watch it right now. Maybe the funniest thing I've seen this year
