I don't think you understand how corrupt cuomo is, not that they shouldn't try but idk if you can pull it off without finally finding something on him

    This is crazy and infuriating.

Some of these people that grew up in a small town, took the nationalism pill, went to the military and had it fuck up their bodies and minds even more. All because of nationalism.

I'm sure some pretty common psychology can explain the dangerous complexes of the people who consider the possibility of law enforcement, military, politics, or teaching as a career.

well some teachers at the very least. I would never say all. I never meant that in the first place.

sometimes I think even the smartest people glaze over how important it is that teachers mold young mines. I know personally that a large percentage of my teachers failed me, hard. the consequences are dire. generation Y is an extremely racist generation and that's the one before ours. Our generation is racist. We have to be instilling common sense. We have to instill empathy. We have to teach history in history class (this one is curriculum as well I realize).

lack of good people in US education contributes hard to where we are at right now.

an expert could talk your ear off on this. I'm no expert.

Interestingly I know ALOT of racist now-teachers that I went to high school with in the South. They are still racist as their Facebook feeds would suggest. Sons and daughters of cops too passing on the values of nationalism and racism. They'll let literally anyone do it.

I definitely think that teachers need to be more proactive in educating the youths. But I also feel our education system limits what teachers can do. K-12 We're taught out of old textbooks that boil every conflict in history down to good Vs bad. I was lucky enough to have some teachers that strayed from teaching dichotomies, but those were all AP or challenge classes. Knowing the fucked up shit that your country did shouldn't be reserved for the "smart kids." curriculum and standardized tests have their place, but shouldn't be the base on which education is built. I definitely had my fair share of bad teachers. The screwed up part is that the bad teachers were doing exactly what they were expected to, nothing more.

This plus the undertaker thing, seems like a cool guy. Hope he can get back, assuming he wants to.

Agreed. Also its once teachers who are the ones who go on to create and influence curriculum.

God, Rex is so corporate. What the hell is a "new strategic vision" with Saudi Arabia even mean? Classic just throw buzz words out and people will nod in approval. Skim the surface, no substance.

yeah like my brainwashed parents who are the last people that should be ok with this.

my mum already defended the $$ deal.

and then she did that passive "it's all politics" shit in response.

I think a lot of parents have an inferiority complex, they don't like to be wrong or educated by others who are younger or of lower status. Not necessarily yours but in general. A lot of girls I've dated, if I tried to talk to their parents about something in order to educate or teach any kind of new knowledge I would constantly be interrupted and then evaded.

Source: Trump once denounced Saudi Arabia as extremist. Now he’s heading there to promote moderate Islam.

i mean if this is all false and fake news, Ben can let me know. but apparently, I know nothing about the middle east.

I feel like when you are in a leadership position for a long time and you feel like your status is threatened you automatically will try to reject something that impugns you because it feels like you are no longer the one in control. It's likely more about instinct, testosterone and habit than anything. Not everyone is like that but, unfortunate for those who have deal with it. I guess some are just unintelligent and they don't want their children to realize how unaware and uninformed they are because it's embarrassing.
