I'm only three episodes in so far and I definitely liked season 1 more at this point. Season 1 only got better as it went on though so I'm expecting this will too.

 

The first 3 episodes of Season 2 were definitely a lot about set up and stuff. THe story picks up pretty good after them IIRC.

 

Season 2 was great, but the ending was a HUGE letdown for me. I didn't like where it went at all and in retrospect made the season as a whole seem like a waste, considering where it eventually led to. There were some amazing episodes and moments though for sure.

 

Matt has the worst luck. Both of his episodes make me hate people.

 

Matt is the Locke of the Leftovers, right?

 

It would explain why I can't stand either of them.

Locke annoyed me a lot in Lost but Matt is one of the few characters in this show I like, ha.

Locke is definitely better than Jack. Matt and Locke are equal, and Kevin is also better than Jack.

Nora is better than any character on either show.

 

Jack is the best man, especially depressed season 5 Jack.

 

Nah, but depressed s5 Jack is the best Jack.

 

i care about most people from lost far more than most people in this show

 

i care about the garvey family more than some people I've known my whole life lol

i get the feeling my soul will be crushed by the finale

 

Just watched episode 8 and I thought it was a cool episode but I definitely wasn't as in love with it as most people seem to be. I think I let myself get too hyped for it. Overall I still like this season less than the first, I just don't feel as interested or as emotionally invested in the stories being told here. Still two to go though and then I can start season 3.

 

Not finished yet but this finale is fantastic. I think my two favourite episodes of the show are the season finales.

 

Probably because you're binge watching it...

 

I didn't binge Leftovers and I'm not emotionally invested in the series like most of y'all, so I get it.

 

I did binge it and got very, very emotionally invested.

 

I binge watched season 1 too and I meant compared to how I felt about that season.

 

I'm basically the opposite. I thought most of the season was a bit meandering and there were parts I just wasn't into at all but I loved the ending and thought it brought everything together in a meaningful way that elevated the season as a whole.

 

See, I thought that the missing girls should kill themselves on that bridge. At least something more drastic then all the other people showing up and going into Miracle.

 

One problem I have is that I still don't understand what motivation those girls have for doing what they're doing. I'm hoping that's explained in season 3. If they killed themselves I think that would have made even less sense and been less of a dramatic thing in the grand scheme of things.
