I did that Reddit pick 'em for the Super Juniors and I think I got maybe two right from last night. lol

 

Shinsuke has no place main eventing because there are zero stakes in this rivalry. That said, I think Ziggler is a better opponent to show off his style than anyone he faced in NXT barring Zayn, and I'm really excited to see what kind of chemistry they have. Hoping we get more than 8-10 minutes out of this one, I think Dolph deserves to come out looking competent.

nailed it. the reason why shinsuke was such a success in nxt wasn't just his new japan run. nakamura/zayn was arguably the match of the year. people don't forget. not that nakamura/ziggler needs to be match of the year, but it needs to be damn good. i think this could be the longest match on the show

 

Yep, Nakamura needs to get a lot of time and hopefully he will, he's been a huge focal point of the advertising. Despite the awful build/Ziggler promos, he's a good first opponent solely because of how Dolph will sell the Kinsasha.

 

I mean, he also has no business being THE promo they show every 30mins for Backlash over AJ/KO and the main belt, and yet...

Its what I find kind of fascinating. The US title match hasnt even been one of the commericals, and Randy/Jinder is a distant 2nd in air time to Shinsuke. Seems a bold move for a guy most casual fans have no idea about.

I'm glad they are giving Nak this kind of spotlight. It shows WWE's intentions with him. First worry I always had when he got called over is he was gonna turn into another lost mid-carder on the main roster. I mean I guess thats still possible but they at least are showing they believe in him right now. He will take major advantage of that i'm sure.

 

I've talked to a few of the more stereotypical WWE fans that hate Nakamura but they can never give me a real reason why.

One time my mom got into it with her cousins about it and called them racists. It was beautiful.

 

Enjoy Nak where he is now so you can all remember it when he's in a comedy tag team with Heath Slater in 18 months.

 

my roommate's that for the most part can't stand wrestling find his character odd (he needs to take that mouthpiece out when he does promos) but think his entrance is sweet/epic

Nakamura vs ziggler is great because it shows shinsuke his ceiling right in front of him

 

Chicago will be hot for Nak. He will be the last match.

 

I'm probably in the minority, but I find Nak's entrance to be pretty bland. Fantastic music, but then he just does this weird thing with his hands that make it look like he's mimicking riding a horse and then he bends his legs really far when he lays down on the mat.

 

I'm seeing Iron Chic Sunday night, then coming home and watching as much Backlash as I can before my gf comes home from a Twin Peaks party lol

Shinsuke and Dolph on first to get the crowd hot, Owens and AJ close the show with Owens getting a clean enough win to avoid a rematch, Nakamura comes out and confronts him to end the show. Bam.
