From a creative perspective, as long as they dont literally call him "Broken Matt Hardy" or make merch with those words, they would be in the clear of trademark issues. Its why Simon Gotch can become Simon Grimm and its "ok".

Basically, look at what WWE has done with Bullet Club. They've made Balor Club. They've made The Club. The guys still 2 Sweet and use aspects of it. So Matt Hardy can basically do everything he was doing; they can film segments they want in whatever style, just with a different name. He can become Twisted Matt Hardy and TNA cant really do anything.

 

i'm still baffled that a show with aj styles vs kevin owens, shinsuke namakura vs dolph ziggler, and sami zayn vs baron corbin is being headlined by jinder mahal.

 

They way they are pushing him, Shinsuke should be the main event.

 

Agreed. He's the promo over Randy/KO/AJ/etc...US title match should open, WWE title 2nd to last, Shinsuke main event.
