Some might take that as a knock AGAINST Green Day.

Maybe an unpopular opinion and also likely having very little to do with the actual requirements for getting in but Green Day has done so much more for punk rock than blink. I'm not sure blink would have even had the platform to be able to break out in '99 with enema if Green Day and the others hadn't broken through to the mainstream in '94. Also - Green Day has managed to have a prolonged relevance since that time whereas blink hasn't been relevant in the mainsteam since the mid 2000's.

Seeing either of these bands live in 2017 should drive my point home.

Green Day may have paved the way for Blink in the late 90's but I would argue that Blink ultimately paved the way for hundreds of other bands in the 2000's

 

Apparently the kid making these videos said he'd post the whole album tomorrow. Take that for what it's worth, but it sounds like tomorrow (at the latest) is when we should see a leak.

 

It's taking everything in me not to listen to those phone camera clips.

Potentially. How many of those bands have really made an impact though? Like I doubt whoever votes on this stuff gives blink credit for inspiring All Time Low, the Story So Far, etc.

Green Day has inspired those same bands with Dookie/Nimrod and then a completely different generation with American Idiot.

Recently over Spring Break I was visiting my family. I got roped into watching my 3 month old niece while my sister got her hair done. So there I am sitting in the waiting area of a hair salon with my little niece and who walks in but Tom Delonge! I was nervous as hell and kept looking to make sure it was him. He sat down and started reading a magazine while he waited but I was too scared to say anything to him. Pretty soon though my niece starts getting fussy and starts crying out of nowhere and I'm trying to quiet her down because I didn't want her to bother Tom but she wouldn't stop. Pretty soon he gets up and walks over. He started running his hands through her hair and asked what was wrong? I said that she was probably just hungry or something and we were waiting my sister to finish. So Tom puts down his magazine, picked up my little niece and then lifted up his shirt. He breast fed her right there in the middle of the hair salon! Tom Delonge, real cool guy.

 

finally. here it is. not as good a second time around. i knew the twist; kinda like rewatching the sixth sense. eh. still solid though. drops down to 7/10

Well, it's not the deluxe CD but I did get my Blink-182 Fuku Box in the mail today. I am pleased with the results.
