It's out in 4 days so I'm just chilling. Don't really need it any earlier than that

 

Gimme some of that chill! I always get so antsy when albums i look forward to are right around the corner

 

I wonder if that would have been different if blink hadn't released 4 songs already and we heard a 5th song (Hey I'm Sorry) for the last 10 months while Paramore only released 2 songs before the album dropped.

It's very good though, in my opinion the songs they've not released from the deluxe tracks are better than the ones they have released. I can wait til Friday. I'm gonna try to wait til I buy it and can listen to it in the car first. It's gonna be on Spotify at midnight though so who am I kidding lol.

we will see if I wait haha, but I think I probably will. I have enough songs to tie me over. want to enjoy it on the ride to work Friday morning.

 

My excitement for new Blink is still pretty high. The variety of songs released kept my interest and I can't wait to get my pre-order. I pre-ordered within a few minutes of the announcement, so I'm hoping from something free thrown in the package haha. If I don't get anything extra, thats cool too. Im just happy about a double pink vinyl set with 28 new Blink songs that aren't even a year old yet.

My excitement for Paramore's leak was pretty high after hearing Hard Times, but my interest in the album since the leak/release dwindled fast. Its a good album, but the listening value didn't last long for me. I'll put some songs on a playlist and thats about it so far. I'm still jamming Blink DLX songs and NFG's new album more than anything else. I'm also still pretty heavy with JEW's Integrity Blues/Futures and Nada Surf sprinkled in the mix.

Yeah I finally put on paramore last night. Pretty much what I imagined a Hayley solo album would be 7yrs ago. And as unkeen for it now as I imagined I would be. And I didn't mind Hard Times aka Sia 2010

"Bottom Of The Ocean" sounds really really promising...

Once again, it's no wonder most throwback and pop punk songs have been weak, that's clearly not their headspace anymore. They are just way too convinced blink needs to sound like a bad copy of themselves and their past... The result (plus Feldmann) is generic and forced songwriting.

Something I thought about today: blink-182 is eligible for entry into the Rock and Roll HOF next year. Think they get inducted?

For comparison sake, Green Day was inducted first ballet but they have sold far more records worldwide, won 5 grammy's, has a significantly larger body of work and didn't write a song about fucking a dog in the ass. Thoughts? I'm not sure they were prolific enough or had a long enough impact on popular music so I'm thinking they likely don't.

 

I think they will get inducted, just not so soon. Maybe ten years from now...
