Yeah, I wish I had something other than a third floor apartment. If I did, I'd brew a lot more frequently. Just everyone I know is currently apartment living or is an hour away.
Had a Chillwave today on a patio at work. It was magnificent.

  5. Such a good beer.

Have you or anyone had their new pilsner, Turntable? Keep meaning to try it but haven't gotten around to it.

You can do extract brewing on a regular kitchen stove easily. You only really need a 5 gallon pot for that and then the rest of the brewing equipment (siphon, fermentation bucket, etc.) that you can get for less than $100 usually. Check out the website homebrewtalk.com too, as they have any info you need for brewing.

Drank a bunch this weekend as it was on special at the bar. It's ok.

Weekend travel plans fell apart last minute, so I ended up bar/brewery hopping around Orlando and drinking at a friend's house on Saturday. Got to try some tasty stuff, and some stuff that lacked a bit (Ballast Point's Peanut Butter Victory At Sea... meh). Highlights included Deschutes' Black Butte XXVI and Wicked Weed's Angel Of Darkness (hot damn, that's a great beer).

Gets super busy there, so just make sure you allocate enough time. Either go an hour or so before opening to beat the line, or expect to wait a few hours if you're getting growler fills. They handle everything very well and move fast, but there is always a massive crowd when I've been there.

I'm going to be looking to go for cans because I'll be on a road trip at that point. and yeah, I've started following their twitter account and most tweets are about how fast the line is moving or how big it is.

I was in Sandusky this weekend and saw it on tap but didn't try it. Had Burning River instead.

Some Maryland breweries I'm a fan of. I drink a lot of local stuff, when possible. The bold is more popular and distributed more, but some good stuff all around.

Be sure to drink your Ovaltine.

Evos Jacque Au Lantern is my favorite pumpkin beer. And I enjoyed Flying Dog's naughty/nice series during Christmas time.

Trying my first Trillium right now. It's Fort Point, and it's delicious.

I got this, No Rules, Black Tuesday, and Mikerphone Special Sauce for 8 White Oak Jai Alais in my first trade today. It was with family from MI, and they go nuts for Cigar City stuff, so it probably wasn't a real trade, but I definitely got the better end of this one.

I just remembered I have a can of Heady Topper sitting in my fridge back in MA. It shall be my reward for finishing the semester.

Just got back yesterday from New Hampshire/Boston and had lots o' delicious beer including:

Earth Eagle Brewings- Dominar. First time ever having a Gruit beer and this was just nuts. The most easily drinkable beer I've ever had at a 9.2% abv. My friend and I nearly polished off a growler and that was just the start of the night lol.

Didn't make it to Trillium but did have their Mettle at the Publick House and it's without question a top 10 beer of all time for me. An unreal smoothness to it. I can't believe it's described as a double IPA.

Also made it to Nightshift Brewing which I had a lot of good stuff and Cambridge Brewing Company.

Ended up playing it conservative on the way back for transporting alcohol back and just picked up 12 packs of Pilsner Urquell and Torpedo for grilling when I get back from Chicago.

I'm always so jealous seeing people check in/report in here the NE IPA's they get to have. I've had Heady a couple of times but I'm salivating to get some Tree House, Trillium, Hill Farm, Tired Hands, etc. I'd rather try those than try a beer like Hunahpu -- which I've also never had -- and I think that's saying a lot.
