I tried doing this a few months back but was still working on my thesis and was using a PDF copy of Capital... definitely something I personally should have a hard copy of lol. Gonna try to get around to this over the summer.

disclaimer: I don't fuck with the super libertarian leftism that seems to have precipitated out of this last election (read: bernie bros), but seriously if this isn't actionable truth....

How many leftists here can speak mandarin, spanish, english, hindi, arabic, etc? or eschewing global majorities the languages most prevalent to their local community? Talk about praxis. What about the solidarity of learning to communicate with people in a way that lifts them up?

Obviously still just a detail when discussing ideology, but like....I think there's enough ML/MLM/leftist ideology floating around, no? Organisation and outreach are currently the left's largest failing (even with exponential growth in the dsa). At the level we need to get to, numbers are real and thousands or tens of thousands of workers just isn't going to cut it....but it is a start.

Furthermore, I think real progress in this country depends less so on unions (though please still support all unions that aren't class traitors and vectors of institutionalised white supremacy like cops) as it does on self-sufficient communities. What does your neighborhood look like when the super market is only dependent on several farming and livestock-raising workers/communities and can provide for the people? When there are doctors who offer healthcare in those communities because their lives are being supported by them?

I think this is the essence of the argument I get on board with against reformation of the state. While forming a political party and exercising political force is an option, I think that course of action not only holds more of a chance to relapse into oligarchy (read: USSR), but also ignores sociopolitical tactics. Forming a political party is by view of the public an upholding of the system. Communal organising for self-sufficiency bypasses that rote dismissal and is also more immediately beneficial (though likely more persecuted by the current system).

Idk, I'm mostly just stream-of-consciousing now, but reading that interview got me fired up.

I'll write up a big post for you when I have a chance, but it mainly deals with the intricacies behind how those goals were achieved/if they even were achieved. For instance, 0% homelessness sounds great, but it really consists of 10 family tenement apartments in ruins and whoever can buy a 1 family home is rich or has ties to the government.
