the older songs are much more enjoyable live imo

Agreed. Aside from Ugh all the new songs so far don't really have that same energy live.

Am I crazy or does Matty look bored/vaguely mad this whole set? Seems like his usual stage energy is lacking. Otherwise, they sound pretty damn tight. Love the massive visuals behind them.

I would'nt say "bored" but the opposite of sober. haha.

twitter seemed to note Matty's intoxication, too.

He definitely upped his energy playing "girls" though haha

I wish their set was at night, but they're pretty on point so far.

How have I never noticed that the beginning of "Sex" is the beginning of "All My Friends"

I know 'Sex' is kinda an outlier (stylistically) in their catalog now, but goddamn if that noisy build after the chorus/release doesn't get me hyped every time.

I'm basically there with you, I just don't really think their new album is very good. I do dig UGH, but that's about it. I might see them next weekend, but a few years ago when they were at Coachella I wasn't really into their set.

    I love Phoenix though :-/

Pretty solid set by The 1975. I agree about the older songs sounding better but I like the new songs (& album) too. Love the visuals as well. Seeing them in Seaside, NJ this summer. Also think it was rad of Matty to mention what's going on in Europe & being grateful for everything.

Shame there's no stream for Deafheaven. Cuz I'd totally be there over a Calvin Harris set (even when Taylor shows up)

Edward Sharpe was just stellar, he was enjoying every single second of that set. Skimmed through Sia, Anderson Paak, and The Chainsmokers and now I'm flipping between Miike Snow and Flume.

    Happy Couchella everyone!

Matt and Kim were fun and energetic, per usual. They are so fun live. They really get the crowd into it.

Nathaniel sounded great, I want to see them live.

    Rancid was on point.

    The Vandals were The Vandals.
