    Motel. Money. Murder. Madness.

I feel like they still have that heavy record in them, heavier than Cope ever was.

    Not quite ETID, but, almost.

Fuck it, I want this band to cut the bullshit and open the fucking pit a la ETID

I want more songs like I Was a Lid, Pride, Shake It Out, etc. By far they're at their best when they're mixing soft parts into their aggressive songs.

they should just release Cope again and pretend it's a new record.

COPE is easily my least favorite MO album but still has some great tracks: Every Stone, All That I Really Wanted, Trees, See It Again, Cope and Top Notch. Also, After the Scripture is one of my all-time faves from MO.

I much prefer HOPE to COPE. I could listen to HOPE every single day and not get sick of it.

Bipolar Rock again please!!! When they dip low musically and just rip vocally, crunch those guitars heavy after is when they're at their best.

Cope was good, but didn't hold my attention really and as someone mentioned, the songs really sounded the same. Maybe they needed to try that out, but I like it when the music feels uneven with twists and turns. Manchester does that better than almost anyone.

*Dynamic rock* is a better phrase. as someone with BPD i gotta say thats a really really poorly worded way to describe what youre trying to say

I promise I'm not trolling here, but less dynamic rock please

Edit: my issue isn't with the phrase, I just don't want them to write the music the phrase describes

I am bipolar I, severe mania and severe depression with many hospitalizations, if that makes you feel better. I relate to calling that brand of music that, and have seen it in articles before. Sorry if you found it offensive though.

"dynamic" rock is a ridiculous title. A group of bands you like don't have to be a sub genre. All music is dynamic.

its not an argument about genres so relax. describing music with a mental illness is the issue. obviously all music is dynamic lol

I know, but someone said "dynamic rock" was a better way to describe it and I'm saying that both descriptions are silly.

It might have been in a different thread, but someone brought up their cover of Don't Speak. It has a spacey, Pink Floyd/Radiohead type vibe to it and they do it really well. That would be a really cool direction to take the next album.

I think it would be cool to have some of that, but I'd want some heavier songs mixed in

Yeah, that was me lol. It's not the point. Of course it's silly but genres are silly to begin with.

What I was trying to describe tho is the way the music gets really soft then breaks hard and emotionally and twists and turns. Dynamic isn't really a good description of it.

My favorite bands, Manchester, All Get Out, Say Anything, Gatsby's, Brand New all do what I'm trying to describe.
