i've always know twat as in "to twat someone" and use in that case is for more of a person with low intellect, hence my use in diving on a yellow when you're one nil up being something pretty darn stupid to do. didn't even register with me the other meaning of the word, so I will try not to use it and use better insults lol

 

Twat isn't a gendered insult in the UK. Obviously I guess it's a wee bit different in the US, but twat wouldn't have any sexist connotations here.

 

Yeah, and that's why I just figured I'd mention it since there is no other connotation on this side of the Atlantic. Doesn't bother me, but we've seen what happens when outside mods have come in regarding local colloquialisms.
