I really need to carve out some time and go through it again, this time the remastered version.

God damn this Ratchet & Clank boss battle is tough!

  7. Once I beat Dark Souls 3 and R&C, I need to go back and finish Uncharted 3. The Last Of Us is probably coming after that.

I am currently DLing Grim Fandango Remastered. I am looking for a relaxing game to play outside of The Division right now. What am I looking forwards to?

Listening to this week's Beastcast, love that Vinny Caravella was the first person documented to say "The Dark Souls of _______" that's become such a common turn of phrase.

Only just started to listen to the Giant Bomb East side of GB's content, and man I absolutely love the academic insight that's offered up from Austin Walker at times, brings a level of understanding and compassion to industry journalism to the field that I feel is often neglected.

The whole crew manages to bring a good balance between humor and in-depth discussion.

Anybody here into Mortal Kombat? The newest one, MKX, was my introduction to the series and I was surprised by how much I liked the story mode and its characters. I've since then been eating up any bit of lore I can find about the series and its history and backstory.

I somehow missed there was another Unreal Tournament game on the rise... that should fill the arena-shooter void that Doom brought back up.

Going to be streaming Persona 4 for the next few hours, around 20 hours into the game. Will be monitoring chat.

Sure is, probably my favorite game of all time. Beat it 3 times...if I didn't have so much to play right now I'd probably give it another go again. I love the multiplayer too, it's highly underrated.

I was really into it back in the mid 90s. Bought the newest one on sale but haven't spent much time on it. First thing I noticed though is that they are really pushing the story in this one, way more than any in the past.

Have you seen the movies? As a kid I remembered loving them, even though at the time I knew they could have been better.

  15. If you're asking what to expect from Grim Fandango, it's relaxing in that you can go entirely at your own pace, but it can get frustrating as it's one of the most difficult adventure/puzzle games of all time.

Frustrating/obscure puzzle solutions but some fantastic characters, great atmosphere/world and funny writing.

Yeah I also need to get through the Uncharted series. I picked up the collection, but R&C and a couple of other games distracted me. I want to complete it though before 4 comes out.

Hopefully doesn't die out once Uncharted 4 gets going.

More or less seen the movies - and by that I mean I've seen the Nostalgia Critic's reviews of them, lol. Don't really have much of an opinion beyond that.

  21. Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not but they definitely do. MK, Tekken, SoulCalibur all have pretty solid backstories for all the characters and everything. I used to love learning each character's story.

Fighting games aren't my thing, I was just genuinely curious if they had a story and how it would play out.

I can't remember who was recommending Stories: Path of Destinies the other day...but what a cracking little game.

What looks like a fairly simple hacky/slashy game soon turns into something much more interesting.
