Confession: I'm a sucker for the lyric videos. I think they're neat and sometimes showed me I had a certain lyric wrong lol

 

Also Mark is doing a live Q&A on instagram. Friend of mine asked him if they plan to play some deluxe songs in June and beyond. Fingers crossed!

 

i've mentioned "21 Days" like 100 times and he just reads right over it! god dammit Mark!

 

Nothing announced at all so far. Mentioned the new song but said he'd heard no confirmation about anything.

 

For the music they've been putting out lately, lyric videos make the song sound worse on first listen to me because it points out how weak the lyrics are

 

It hasn't bothered me none, but then again there have been lyrics in Misery and 6/8 that I really liked so maybe I'm not as good at pointing out 'weak' lyrics or it doesn't effect me as much ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Nothing of value was answered but the guy who does their graphic design sometimes did confirm in chat that there's a new song tomorrow.

It bothers me that people ask such dumb questions but it bugs me more that Mark answers them instead of questions we'd actually like to hear a response to.

He mentioned +44 at least. Seems to me that he thinks Blink and +44 are too similar musically to exist at the same time now that Blink is totally active. Didn't rule out some other project in the future though.

 

i asked him they'll ever play "21 days" or do a full deep cuts tour someday, and if they'll be playing any deluxe songs live, but he never answered those... but actually, i think near the end he said that they've been talking about doing some deluxe tracks on the european tour. so we'll see.

 

I asked a few times when he thinks Matt would have time to make a new Trio album. He definitely ignored it. Haha.

Everyone jokes about that but I'm sure Mark is sympathetic to trio fans, especially after blink fans were jerked around by Tom. He said when Skiba joined they'd make it work

 

I'm sure they were caught off guard by how successful California has been. I know I was.

 

I thought like small arenas like 10k max would be their ceiling without Tom. Def didn't expect that tour last summer and a gold record already. There literally can't be one person that predicted this success.

 

Oh absolutely. I remember before Bored to Death dropped, everyone here was speculating that the days of arenas/amphitheaters were over and Blink would become a large club act.

A year later and they are headlining friggin' stadiums. Never would have predicted that.
