It would all depends on how good it is but I can't see how it would hurt Travis' image, he's pretty established now and even when people dislike something blink puts out Travis isn't the one taking blame, whether that's fair or not.

 

Honestly I don't think it would hurt Travis. Because let's be honest, the majority of Blink fans would be super stoked for it.

That's cool, speaking of Tim Armstrong, getting a new Rancid album is pretty cool.

 

Yeah, I still need to check out the new Rancid single that released with the album announcement. I can pretty much tell what it's going to sound like without even listening to it though, haha. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, for a band like Rancid.

 

I don't think it would hurt Travis one bit. He is established, heck I know a lot of people that don't even like blink but recognize Travis' prowess

 

Travis is easily the more recognizable member of blink (including Tom in there). One of my best friends who is a drummer doesn't really even like blink that much but goes with me to the shows just to watch Travis.

 

Anyone just see Tom live on Instagram? Mentioned that Blink is still his band and his free to rejoin it again at any time. Also the last thing he said was "Box Car Racer.....That Would Be Fun.".


Anyway also seen Blink for the first time live since Matt Joined the band and honestly it was awesome he is prefect replacement for Tom. Shame the sound was hit and miss at Sun Fest.

 

So basically he just said, "I'm still the boss and leader of Blink and they have to let me play if I want to!" Ugh

 

And that right there is why he's on everybody's shitlist. Stop acting like a bitter entitled dick, you wanted out, now own up to it.

 

I'm actually curious if he will go out and start doing solo shows where he plays Blink songs? And BCR songs? He's dropped multiple hints at BCR now.

 

Exactly. I respect the guy but it becomes so hard to do so when he acts like that. Also I don't buy that he can just wander into the studio one day and be like

Tom: HEY GUYS I AM BACK! Let's record...next yeAr

Travis: ha lol

 

That's actually crossed my mind. I could see him doing a mini tour of clubs in CA where he does some blink, BCR and AVA songs.

 

i'd probably go to something like that, if it came around me. i wouldn't drive or fly anywhere to see a show like that though.

Me too. I crap on Tom a lot but yeah I would still go see him perform. Especially if it's a smaller acoustic-ish show where he plays some BCR and maybe deeper blink cuts.

 

On a acoustic bass, ofcourse

 

I'd go but it would be uncomfortable for me. It would seem really inauthentic.
