Speaking of expensive b teams... One of my favorite things about this season is that Real Madrid's "b" team is almost stat for stat better than their galactico team. Like I think only Ronaldo, Marcelo, and Navas are better than their bench counterparts. Those players deserve to be treated better, but $$$$ talks.

 

My god Rooney is awful. Two players open beside him and he clips a ball to an Arsenal player.

United been massively poor today. Bonus that we tested pretty much our whole Europa team, but fuck me.

 

Which players do you think will be sold this summer?

 

Arsenal probably lose both Ozil (to a Bundesliga team?) and Alexis (to PSG) this summer, yeah?

 

I think Mkhi and Martial will be looking over their shoulders. Rooney simply has to go, for the good of the club. Smalling and Jones might go. At least one will. Darmian will depending on what fullbacks we can get. De Gea might go if Madrid want him. Basically most of the players on the pitch

Mata will probably stay but you never know.

 

So you think Rashford stays for sure? I think it'd be dumb to send him elsewhere but the rumors have been there.

 

Arsenal plays Sweet Caroline after a victory? Seems weird.

 

100% staying. Mourinho adores him.

 

United should probably break the bank to sign James away from madrid. He's open to leaving and they're one of the few who could afford him. Mainly I want good players to leave Madrid this summer.

 

They're the rumours yeah. €60m. But we don't play with a 10 and would he be much better than Mata on the right?

 

Griezmann seems dead set on coming in. Fabinho as well. I don't think we'll see a number nine coming in. A mobile CDM to alieviate Pogba is our number one priority. My thinking is that we go with 4231 or 41212.

I reckon we'll keep to a 4-3-3, with narrow wingers and fluid movement. A midfield of Herrera, Pogba and Fabinho slightly behind would be incredible.

I also don't see Greizmann coming in. I think, if we get Champions League, Lukaku is much more likely. More of a Mou forward.

Very pleased with the Newcastle (well, Villa...) result today. Been a bloody frustrating season at times and losing out by a point would have been gutting after some of the officiating we've seen.

Little bit sad for Hughton and Brighton, but the season doesn't end once you've confirmed promotion!

Was a weird last day as well. As if one of Forest, Birmingham or Blackburn had to drop.

He's doing what everyone does in these situations, have you never followed a transfer saga before? I'm not going to be shocked if he sticks around, Atletico are a great team with a great manager. The transfer being dead certain was hyperbole, but the whispers about this transfer have been going on all season, and have only gained traction.

 

Isn't Simeone leaving Atleti at the end of the season?

fwiw i think there needs to be a fortuitous version of events from Griezmann to come to United. Simeone and Champions League qualification specifically. If it was his brother, he'd be here already lol.

Speaking of his brother has gone VERY quiet on social media recently.

I genuinely couldn't tell you who we will buy, it's kind of a crapshoot. Lukaku, would be decent but the only way I could see that is a LOT of money + Rooney and then probably subsidising Rooney's wages for a year or two. I think Lukaku is nailed on for Chelsea, especially with Michy not being in Conte's plans and rumours about Costa. We've barely been linked with defenders or midfielders except for Fabinho so who the fuck knows whats going to happen in summer. I just know that if we do make Champions League it could set up a very exciting summer for United fans.
