I don't exactly seek out holiday movies that come out (unless it's something absolutely ridiculous, like Violent Night) , at this point any enjoyment I get from them is pure nostalgia. I actually really like Jingle All the Way, the one with Schwarzenegger. And maybe it's because I haven't seen it but I'm kind of sick of the "Die Hard is A Christmas movie" crowd

 

This was a huge year for big franchise event series. What is that looking like in 2023?

Obviously Secret Invasion, Ahsoka, and Skeleton crew will be huge, but besides the MCU and Star Wars stuff what else will there be? Pretty much just The Last Of Us, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and maybe Alien (if that doesn't end up coming out in early 2024) ?

 

ok between the Phantom of the Theme Park episode in Dead End and Battle of the Bands in Amphibia, I would like to officially decree every kid's animation show has a musical episode. I am not a crackpot

 

Currently watching Fire of Love on Disney+ and i'm loving this so far. Definitely an Oscar best doc contender.

Nat Geo Documentary Films just consistently throwing out bangers.

 

Die Hard is a classic. And a Christmas movie. I’ve watched it on Christmas Eve for over 10 years now.

Home Alone and Christmas Vacation are essential. My wife also likes Love Actually. I can take or leave A Christmas Story, Elf, and most of the other “classics.”
