the last few times I’ve had them (out of fresh new boxes) they’ve been far less buttery and have tasted way more like saltines to me

  3. Bummer, but I also love Saltines

  5. When I'm at home, I often like to throw a splash of orange, lemon, or lime juice into my cheap domestic beers

I've never done that, but I bet it tastes good

  7. Orange approximates a mamosa, lemon a shandy, and lime a lime beer. It's a fun little alteration

Made some fudge for the first time yesterday. One regular and one with Walnuts and marshmallow. Turned out pretty good.

My Christmas morning tradition is always coffee with a shot of Fireball

I realized all my Christmas traditions involve vodka and watching/eating something. (Vodka and pistachios while I watch the twilight zone, vodka and popcorn while I watch Christmas Vacation etc) and I’ve been super sick for a week and haven’t been able to do any of them and it really bums me out.

My wife and I are doing our own Christmas for the first time and it’s been great. Our lunch/dinner (linner?) consisted of pot roast with potatoes and carrots, corn soufflé, stuffing, broccolini, stuffing and gravy. It was wonderful

I share this with this opinion: Ham sucks

Ham is great. Real versatile too. Tons of stuff you can do with the leftovers.

I like turkey but I get why people don’t. Not liking ham is wild. Got leftover ham from my mom today and going to make ham eggs and potatoes tomorrow.

Putting like good Easter ham on a rye bread with potato salad on the sandwhich, so fucking good.

I just never really liked the flavor of ham. Idk if maybe it’s the way my family does it or what, but I’m just not a fan.

The fun part is, my family makes it every year no matter what

For a fun little holiday activity, I bought one of each holiday flavor toast crunch to sample and rate. Here’s my ratings:

    IMG_3725.jpeg

Sugar Cookie- This one is a favorite of mine that I’ve had in years past. I’d always buy a box and have a bowl as a late-nite treat during the holidays. I haven’t had it in a few years, but it definitely seems like they changed the recipe. Sugar cookie flavor isn’t as prominent. Not bad and I still like it, but def not as great as it used to be. 7/10

Gingerbread- Gingerbread flavor was good but not super strong or noticeable. Tasted more like a sugar-coated Golden Graham, which, while a great idea, isn’t what I wanted out of it. Honestly pretty disappointed with this one too. I had high hopes since I love gingerbread 6/10

Apple Pie- Surprisingly my favorite of the three. Strong apple flavor with good balance of cinnamon. Although it leans a lot on the sweet side. 8/10
