Pad Thai rules and my favorite place I easily get 2 meals out of one order.

 

I still haven't found that one Thai meal I love but the closest would probably be Rad Na.

 

I do not like a lot of curry dishes though. Spicy coconut milk over meat tastes a little a weird to me.

 

Give me Indian food over Thai any day of the week.

 

I had Indian food for the first time a few weeks ago. It was good!

 

i had yellow curry a couple weeks ago and it was probably the best thing ive eaten in a like a year lol. massaman curry is also goated

Another thing that we don't have in the area is a local Indian spot. It's annoying.

 

I had the Chicken Tikka Masala with Naan because I wanted to try the most known basic famous thing before I dive deeper. Next time I'll get something spicer.

Also had gulab jamun

 

CTM with garlic naan is my go to every time.

 

Also I learned Indian food is the hardest to wash off your hands. That shit like coats your skin in a weird way nothing else does.

Almost every Indian place in the Des Moines area closes about a year or two after they open. It sucks but I think I found a new one that is very popular(unlike the other places)

 

if you have south Indian and can try dosas do that, they are mashed potato pancakes

 

if you like spicy gobi manchurian is basically the best appetizer ever

 

I'm gonna try Chicken Chili Masala next I think

 

The Indian place down the street from me is BYOB and if you hang out long enough they just start giving you free food

I admit I was turned off of Indian food for a long time specifically because that one Sopranos episode where Tony gets food poisoning, then Artie Bucco explains to him what Ghee is.

 

My wife has made Chicken Tikka Masala at home. Its good but not having the naan sucks.

 

any of the store bought sauces I’ve tried are terrible as well as the chain Indian food. Grocery stores around here sell naan though.

 

I wish I had more good Cuban spots near me. Which is weird because that is the type of food Tampa Bay is most known for. You can get a good Cuban sandwich pretty much everywhere here of course, but all of the legit Cuban places for anything other than a Cuban sandwich are confined Tampa/Ybor itself. I don't want to drive over the Courtney Campbell Causeway just to get mojo pork and black beans

 

The Trader Joe's Tikka Masala sauce and Naan are actually pretty good.
