I may not have had truly good grits, but they're kind of bland / boring to me. I don't hate them, but when it's a choice between potatoes and grits, it's most always potatoes. Shrimp and grits are good until you get down to just the grits.

I've never had grits, but I'd like to try them. Savory/cheese grits sound very much up my alley. Just not sure where to try them around here that would do them correctly. Cracker Barrel, maybe?
