Paper walls at one is an extremely hot take.

It’s not at all though. I’ve seen plenty of lists with it at 1

Yeah that's the one that I actually never heard at all until this week. Eager to give it another listen. I didn't dislike anything on it, but on first listen the only songs that stayed in my head were Awakening and Here I Am Alive.

Southern Air, Paper Walls, and obviously OA are the 3 I consistently see in the top spot. Saying L&S, LaS, or s/t at #1 would be hotter takes but their discography is very consistent, especially to fans who've followed their entire careers

Southern Air, Lift a Sail, and Ocean Avenue are the ones I go back to the most.

I return to Paper Walls, Southern Air, Lift a Sail, Lights & Sounds, and WYTTSY Acoustic A LOT.

I guess I must listen to Yellowcard a lot. The Ocean Ave to Southern Air run is greatness and I go back to a bunch of songs on Lift A Sail and Yellowcard ST. On occasion I’ll go back and listen to One For The Kids because because that’s the album I discovered this band with years ago. October Nights does not get enough credit for how good that song is and how it shaped their sound moving forward.

I honestly listen to Lights & Sounds and WYTTSY the most. So I don't even belong in this thread probably, haven't even seen the latter mentioned that I recall

October nights is def the highlight on that album. I also discovered them with that album. 10th grade I think it was.

Haha I will! I know a few songs from it and tbh I have no idea why I haven't yet. I remember never being able to find the CD

Paper Walls is an excellent record. But I could make the case they have four other records on a similar level (OA, Lights and sounds, Southern Air and Lift a Sail)

They have a really solid discography. The only album that I feel was a miss was Lights and Sounds. I can barely sit through that one. All the other albums I ranked in the bottom half (Self Titled, LaS, Southern Air) don't have any songs I'd intentionally skip, but there are definitely some weaker songs on them.

WYTTSY is the only other album I just could never get into for some reason. For You and Your Denial is one of the best comeback songs from this scene, along with My Songs Know...

For You and Your Denial is a great comeback song. Agreed. Signature violin sound to intro the song and then band back in full force.

See Me Smiling is so good. Love how he has multiple songs where he sings about family members and loss on different albums. The Sing for Me video also has a nice and inspiring touch.

Only thing that could have made WYTTSY better is if Triple Please had made it on the record as well or was a bside.
