    Damn, that video was powerful.

It really doesn't seem like any of them want this...

  2. When I was 11 I got Ocean Avenue and Linkin Park's Live in Texas from my aunt for Christmas one year. That was the beginning of me listening to music that wasn't my parents' I think. Man that was a long time ago.

Live in Texas is still one of the best live albums of all time. The DVD was awesome too. It's funny how they played 3rd that entire tour and still had the crowd going insane.

And also they had such a long setlist for playing 3rd. That version of Papercut with Chester screaming behind Mike in the verses is amazing and is my favorite version of that song.

I feel the same way. Now Papercut is either part of a medley or they just play the first verse and the chorus.

The only Medley I am all for and hope they always keep is their Leave Out all the Rest/Shadow of the Day/Iridescent one. Leaves more room for faster songs and that medley is so well done.

That is a great medley right there and it translates very well live! Most of their other medleys are head scratchers though. I know they want to play a ton of songs at their shows but most of those songs I want to hear the full version of! Here's the encore for their last tour:

    1. Encore:
    2. Lost in the Echo
(Shortened (No Second Verse, Second Chorus or Bridge))
    3. New Divide
(Shortened (No First Chorus or Second Verse))
    4. Crawling
(Shortened (No Second Verse); Ext. Outro w/ With You Verse 1; w/ Faster Tempo)
    5. Until It's Gone
      (Shortened; No second verse)
    6. What I've Done
      (Extended Solo Bridge)
    7. Bleed It Out
(Ext. Intro; Ext. Bridge w/ drum solo + The Catalyst Refrain; Ext. Ending)

Yikes. Yeah that's a no go for me. Just play the staples, a few deep cuts and that one medley.

It'll be interesting to see what they do on this upcoming tour with this new direction. It'll be interesting to see a mainstream radio audience hearing a song like Faint for the first time.

Yeah, it could be jarring. Faint was a mainstream song when it came out though, so I think a lot of people would know that and their earlier singles. I have no idea what the band is doing now though lol.

I have a feeling that they all sit in a room, listen to different albums and then pick what direction they want to go in. This album will be radio friendly and I think their next album could sound like Lamb of God haha
