Meltzer is reporting that Riddle/Ohno will be taped for tv and there will only be 4 matches on the ppv

 

That's odd, looking at the matches, WarGames and Shayna/Kairi should go long. But they shouldn't go so long they can't fit three matches in around them. Unless Ciampa / Dream and Gargano / Black are going half an hour each too.

 

Shit, didn't realise War Games was this weekend. I've gotta catch up with NXT TV, RDR2 has been distracting me too much!

 

The way he worded it was that they're all getting a lot of time. I could see War Games getting an hour with entrances and video package, Shayna/Kairi could end up getting 30-40 minutes, plus the other two matches could get similar times. It'll definitely be interesting to see how the show is laid out and whether or not the fans will get tired quickly.

 

Yeah I just read including video packages last year's War Games was 50 minutes. Didn't seem that long.

I like Dream but I don't see why Ciampa / Dream would get that long. He's great but it'll be a big test of his in ring abilities.

 

Dream has more than held his own in matches against Black, Gargano and Ohno. Can't see why he wouldn't hold his own against Ciampa too.

 

He was good in all, sure. Bit sloppy against Ohno but still good. I just wonder how he'll do in a longer form match

 

I think Dream will kill it. I hope Meltzer is wrong about Riddle/Ohno. That'd be a really fun match to open War Games

 

Ohno was uncharacteristically not great in that match as well. Plus it's been nearly a year. I think they'll do well

 

Oh yeah don't get me wrong I'm not trying to talk down on Dream. I just think if Meltzer is correct and it's a 25+ minute match it will test him. I'm really excited to see it.

 

He went 22mins v Ricochet. Honestly could have gone 20+ with Aleister Black, but they got all that story in in ~15 mins.

I think Id rather see the non-War Games matches get 15-20 each and the WG match go 45. And let Ohno/Riddle get 10-15 as the main event of the NXT episode, rather than like 6 minutes as the 2nd match of Takeover

 

Maybe I'm just being pessimistic, and/or bitter about not seeing Riddle/Ohno get a lot of time at Takeover. But yeah either way I hope all 4 matches are absolute barn burners.

 

PWI is saying WWE is going through a bunch of options for smackdown tonight

One of them being Becky dropping the title quickly to someone else so there’s still a title vs title match.

Another option being Mandy or one of the Iconics replacing her outright

 

Becky losing the title would be bad. Ronda vs. Mandy would be bad. Ronda vs. Peyton Royce could be decent

 

Ugh don't make her drop the title. I'll only accept that if it's Asuka but we all know who would it really be

 

Barstool is reporting that the plan for Sunday is Charlotte vs. Ronda. Also tonights main event will be a bigger deal than that.
