I wonder if they are making more money now. I'd assume yes but I don't know. If they are maybe they are just content with that

 

finally had some time to watch NxT takeover. Quality event. I love the idea of them having 4 of these a year (and NO MOREE!). It makes each of them feel special and i love catching up with NxT at these times and see what's possibly coming up and/or get to critique some of the internet darlings.

I cant wait for Bobby Roode, Samoa, Asuka, and Shinsuke to be on the main roster. Especially Roode.

Loved seeing Mickie back :) I'd love for talented women of the 00s to get another shot within an era where they take women wrestling seriously. So many of them were held back in their era so it's just very awesome to see.

@Henry I know you've watched some DDT. This is amazing. Basic concept is two nerds have hired Kota Ibushi to evict all the wrestlers that have overtaken their apartment complex. Half the wrestlers are either jerkin it or butt banging when Kota first sees them.

 

One of my favorites that I've seen. Up there with the Generico kayak match.

 

Is there an archive or a site or anywhere that just links to all of the matches they've had?

 

DDT Pro is amazing, Ibushi vs. Yoshihiko is top 10 of all time

 

Not that I've seen. Most of the ones I've seen were just things posted on Dailymotion and Vimeo via reddit.

DDT Pro has been a company I been wanting to watch forever but never got to outside the few matches I seen here and there on random places online.

 

In reference to when we'll see Shinsuke on the main roster.

 

Two guys with some pretty serious injuries are back.

 

I think they should do 5 Takeovers, but the 5th could be at Full Sail. The gap between WM and Summerslam is too long, they need one around MITB time.

One in Jan at RR, April at WM, June at MITB, Aug at SS, and Nov at SurSer.

 

So I looked that up. Now my favorite Generico match ever.

 

Yeah I was meaning to watch it after Henry mentioned it, but I've been enveloped in PROGRESS wrestling.

 

When is the title event? I'm excited to watch that.

 

I don't know. Before today it was the same thing as my experience with DDT: clips I've seen on Wreddit and whatnot. Between everything I've heard, it being labeled as a punk-rock type wrestling show, hearing from multiple sites that the Jimmy Havoc storyline is the best story in wrestling right now, and of course already being aware of half the roster, just had to give the on demand service a try. Very worth it.

 

I guess according to this, it's Sunday. Gonna try and stream that if I can. Really exciting night for them.

 

i think time makes ppvs/takeovers even more special. If you had a 5th event, then you'd have to add some sort of stip/theme/gimmick (ala a rumble, a tournament, a mitb-type match).

 

They're absolutely making far more money and I'm sure they're very happy

 

Well, im suggesting them doing essentially what they did this year. From Brooklyn to Brooklyn 2, there were 4 other PPVs. So 5 in a year. Brooklyn, Respect, London, Dallas, The End. Time them to match the Big 4 and MITB and its about the same spacing...and they can hold them in 10,000 person venues instead of Full Sail.

That said, I do think NXT could have a gimmick event each year as well. And beyond the Dusty Rhodes tourney, which should be yearly for sure. Make it a network event like the CWC finals were and fulfill the yearly "ppv" requirement for Full Sail.

 

Yeah I'll be driving 15 hours back home tomorrow so I'll miss the live stream. I'll just wait til Monday, got off and just gonna crank through some chapters.

 

Doesn't look like Taima is doing a Progress stream.

 

Sounds like Sexy Star isnt retiring from wrestling after all. Hopefully that means she is in LU Season 4

 

I'm kinda confused by the whole thing. I wonder if she'll just go without the mask most of the time.
