And if they are set on taking Corbin out of the match, have it be his punishment for refusing to wrestle in the 6-man tag team match. Not an injury. It at least adds to the story that Corbin is a "lone wolf."

edit: but seriously, they should have just kept Corbin in the match.

 

Maybe Shane gets attacked at raw next week and they'll announce a surprise member the night of - that would be cool

So, by what's been actually annoucned so far, we have 3 survivor series matches that mean nothing (beyond "supremacy"). And 2 mid-card matches (IC title and CW title) that have major ramifications.

Im sure there will be stakes announced on Monday, but, at the moment it makes no sense

Smackdown was kinda lackluster this week, but the womens title match was great

 

The kayfabe side of it is interesting, in that technically Shane should be able to keep his side inline.

But if it comes down to a scenario where Shane isnt one of the first dude's eliminated, thats gonna be weird. And god help us if he ends up as sole survivor

 

I feel bad for Corbin/Crews/etc seeing the idea that they might swap the IC title belt and CW division between the two brands. Suddenly they have nothing to compete for in the short term. Also wonder if they'll make Dolph or some other people create impromptu tag teams?

That said, I'd love to see Sami win the IC title (and get murdered by Braun for it the next night). Hate for Brian kendricks to lose the belt to Kalisto though.

 

Could see Shane being the first person out which leads to all of the in-fighting. But since he's said to be fighting Brock in the somewhat near future he'll probably be the lone survivor and itll be dumb

 

This would be the most WWE move ever...embarrass all your top stars in both brands to build a feud 4-5 months out that nobody cares about.

 

i actually would love that. There's such a nothing in the smackdown mid-card, just letting all your roster go for one smackdown belt could be somewhat interesting.

but then again having three singles men belts on raw would be laughable

at this point, im just trying to make smackdown great and fuck raw

 

I don't see them moving the Cruiserweight belt to Smackdown.

I do potentially see shenanigans where Sami wins but then Shane steals him and the belt to Smackdown.

These shenanigans might be clouded by my desire to see Sami both win a belt and be on smackdown

 

The thing is, taping 205 Live on Tuesdays makes no sense. It means the CW arent part of the RAW touring brand that night. Makes way more sense if they just move to Tuesdays.

 

I feel like the CW are gonna turn into floaters that can appear on any brand (including NXT) for whatever the storyline needs

Great ending to the AOP/DIY match. Maybe somewhat predictable? But still super fun to watch it all unfold. Nicely sets up DIY to take the belt off Revival while AOP wins the title and gets to be the next challengers.

curious who could win this one. I want Sanity, but donno if they are gonna wanna go heel/heel for the final.

Is there a normal episode next week? I originally thought yes but given all the set up for takeover I'm thinking no

Again, these WWE exclusives are stupid...put them on the show. But also, this feels like some of the worst acting Regal has ever done. In like 20s he magically comes around to a huge stipulation?

 

just caught some of smackdown finally. really enjoyed the Bliss/Becky match...really enjoyed it. Such a solid simple wrestling match that worked superbly. Both looked like a million bucks in their own respective ways.
