i think, but am not sure, that because his last match was against Undertaker, who he respects a shit ton, he doesn't want to go back on his word. also, with how Flair "retired" and then ran to TNA i think that sticks with Michaels and that if you're in a retirement match and lose, that's it. he seems like he may miss it from time to time but wouldn't want to cheat fans out of what he said would be his last match if he lost.

 

Yeah, probably accurate. He also said, on I think Flair's podcast which may have actually been the same interview I was referring to earlier, that he does not miss it because it's "not the same business he retired from" or something. I don't remember if the implication was that he disliked the authority driven storylines or the more family friendly product or what, but he was clearly saying that he doesn't 100% jive with the current state of the shows at that time. Interesting to me given that no other era comes close to this one in terms of athleticism and work ethic.

So after AJ beats Dean again, and Cena is off making movies, who is an actual threat to AJ? I guess Bray or Orton would be next in line? Smackdown really lack depth. I like the feuds now but I'm worried about what comes after.

 

Given how vocal both guys have been about wanting to face each other, I imagine Orton feuds with Styles through the Rumble

 

Del Rio is wrestling the JAPW show I'm going to in a few weeks. lol

Well, there's a decent chance they dont actually have their next title match until TLC. Since it seems like Survivor Series is all about those 3 SS matches.

And then Smackdown doesnt have a PPV until Royal Rumble, and then probably Elimination Chamber. So, its possible they wont make it just Randy, might be a combo of Dean, Bray, Randy, etc pushing him.

what a crappy decision not to make Sasha/Charlotte the main event. this is by far the best time to do it too. The US title isn't a main event storyline and the Owens/Rollins feud has been mediocre enough to take a back seat for a B level PPV

 

Well, yes and no. If by #TripleMainEvent they mean there are gonna be straight HIAC matches, then good god is that 3rd one going to have a dead crowd. So, I'd rather the women go first.

 

if they were smart i'd have the women's match be the ONLY one using the cell gimmick.
