I wish the crowd hadn't chanted as much as they did, but maybe if Enzo & Cass, Banks or Crews won they would have been better

Hell, the crowd would have popped for either team winning the tag title match, but they even managed to find a way to screw that up

I like it if it's got cookie dough. Mmmmm... Dean needs some cookie dough.
Still time. Could happen tonight or the next PPV.

According to Ambrose he's attempted to add cookie dough but creative isn't really a big fan. They must be squares.

Seth should shame all of Brooklyn(jersey, Long Island, upstate, states island, the Bronx, Manhattan, Connecticut, etc.) and all other people who flew in for showing up to summerslam and not making the matches better. Ultimate heel move imo

Very curious to see this week's shows. I seem to be in the minority that very much enjoyed the show last night. Tonight, for all intents and purposes, is when the brand split really begins.

that's a good point. Not giving the crowd the moment to be excited about Enzo or Banks winning (don't think they would've really gave a crap if Crews won) probably didn't help things. Plus, I don't think anyone in the fucking world bought Ambrose vs Ziggler.

A few hightlights from looking at New Japan's three Destruction cards for next month:

it's looking like it's official that The Heavyweight and Junior tag team divisions are getting merged. Aside from Briscoes vs Young Bucks for the titles on 9/22, there are multiple junior vs heavyweight team matches on there like RGP Vice/Guerillas of Destiny and ReDRagon/Nigata and Shibata.

Adam Cole making his New Japan debut against Will Ospreay on the 22nd!

Shibata/Bobby Fish for the NEVER Openweight title on the 17th should be dope as hell.

Okada/Bad Luck Fale for the IWGP title on the 22nd should be meh.

Main events each night will be Kushida/Bushi for the Jr title on the 17th, Omega/Yoshi-Hashi for the WK11 title match contract on the 22nd, and Elgin/Naito for the IC title on the 25th.

I think Roman going over would have gotten a positive pop tbh. We don't need his aggression shoved down our throats. We know what they are doing. Just let it happen.

    Meltzer said some things.

On Sasha: "[Banks was not going to win the title and lose the title this soon, obviously, so something changed in the last couple of days. She is injured. The story of her being injured is legit. She is going to be off for a while. She's off all shows for a while. As far as other things, the fact that she's injured does not preclude that there is another reason, but that doesn't confirm it. But I can't confirm that there is, either. Obviously, if there is a drug test situation, and I really hate to start rumors, but everyone in the world is talking about it like that, I mean it would be announced by mid-week one way or the other."

On Joe: "[Samoa Joe] is fine. That was all a sell. They wanted to do that, too, which is interesting that they did this on both shows, but that's just what they kind of did. [WWE] are looking for that curiosity, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, especially the Samoa Joe thing. I don't think that's a bad thing at all. It's a way to get the move over. I don't want to say that it's a way for him to save face for the loss, but it's a storyline thing that they can use this week and everything, so that's good."

Sasha is having medical evaluations on her back.

Maybe people shouldn't be wrestling Dana and Charlotte.

Also there are lots of things to complain about last night but Enzo and Cass taking a loss is not one of them. Those dudes need to work Jericho and KO for a few months. They will win the feud eventually but you have to put over their opponents as a team first.

KO puts over that team soooo well. Him shouting that he didn't want to face the big guy because he punches hard was perfect.

I'm curious as to the ratings Meltzer will give Styles/Cena, because as I was watching it I thought it was actually better than Cena/Punk in 2011(WWE's last 5 star match), more spectacular spots and the storytelling was just as compelling if not more. I'd have to watch both matches again to judge more accurately though.

I don't mind that they lost, but having them lose the match was not good for the crowd's morale.

Yep. I remember being so sad that Y2AJ broke up, as much because of the match they had just gotten out of the New Day. And then imagining them working against all the other heel teams. Shit, Vaudevillians would probably be over if they worked against Y2AJ.

Yep, looking back, definitely a big mistake to involve Jon Stewart. And not having Big E for the build and entrance definitely killed off a lot of that comedy angle. They basically did a comedy build around hurting a dude, and it didnt have a good pay off.

But they can make that interesting going forward (unlike some of the other matches that flamed out, like Miz/Crews or Ambrose/Ziggler)

I think tonight is gonna be kinda silly. RAW has a bunch of time to build to Clash of Champions, and Im not sure they have a lot of new feuds to start...since Universal Title aside, all the RAW title fights didnt have clean endings.

I think we'll get an overly long opening promo. I think Shane will show up to address the Brock thing. And the rest...I dont have high hopes for.

Now Smackdown, which has 3 weeks and openings for brand new feuds for all of its titles. That could be fun
