Fun as hell opening, for once I didn't mind opening with a 20 minute promo.

I randomly came across the Lita & Trish vs Christian & Y2J tag match today and I have to say, it was incredibly uncomfortable to watch.

 

Sasha/Charlotte at Summerslam is still 100% has a big match feel!!!

Did it feel abuse-y? I've seen a lot of women wrestlers who look incredible going up against men without it coming off that way.

 

Sasha has officially replaced Big E as wrestler I'm most terrified is doing to die during a dive to the outside.

Super abuse-y. There was one spot where Christian shoved Trish in the middle of the ring and she nearly knocked herself out on the bottom turnbuckle. And there was this other clothesline spot that looked so stiff.

I've seen intergender matches that definitely didn't give off that vibe, so I'm not totally against them doing it at some point so long as they handle it responsibly.

 

The one she did in her title match last week had me thinking she was gonna put herself out of the match.

But Big E is still the most likely to murder himself. He nearly did it in the Wyatt match

 

One change i've noticed, this seems so much more cohesive than before.

The one thing inter gender tags had going for them in the Attitude Era was that it was the easiest way to build cheap heat. Face teams would never hit the woman, and the heel team would always cheap shot her for the win.

But with the current roster, I think it'd be hard to do them well

KO on commentary kills me every time, especially his constant ripping on Byron.

 

I'm definitely pro-intergender matches regardless, but it'd be hard to make them look good with the current WWE talent pool. If the men's roster continues to get smaller as it had been, it would work a lot better. Someone like Sasha going up against the likes of Zayn and Balor looks a lot more believable than against people like Brock or Rusev.
