I think one of the things that baffles me the most is Crews getting called up after mania. They seemingly had a plan for both Enzo and Cass and the Vaudevillains. Corbin won the Andre the giant battle royal. And Apollo... The only thing I can think of that he's done was win that battle royal last night

 

I was listening to Marty & Sarah Love Wrestling and Marty made a pretty interesting observation about Darren Young's moveset.

He said that Young has been known to be very liberal in taking from Roderick Strong's moveset in the past, and now that Roddy is possibly going to WWE he's switched it up and now he's borrowing heavily from Marty Scurll. He said don't be surpised to see Darren Young use alot of the same unique and innovative ways to get someone into a Crossface Chickenwing that Marty does.

It's really not uncommon to see WWE wrestlers take stuff from indie and international guys. I mean Daniel Bryan and CM Punk pretty much took Hideo Itami's entire moveset between the two of them when they went to WWE. I just find stuff like that kind of hilarious.

 

Supposedly Storm made the call to leave NXT himself because TNA put more money on the table. I could've seen him joining up with The Revival as their singles guy.

 

woke up a bit more open minded to dean/ziggler, though still not thrilled. dont get me wrong, the match itself is probably going to be great, but dolph hasn't been built at all to be a worthy challenge. if he had been the one to win the battle royal then went on to win the 6 way i would've been more okay with it off the bat. whatever, they've got 3 tv shows so ill watch it and hope for the best

 

If Ziggler goes back to being the awesome heel he used to be, this could end up being a good thing.

Oh my god, please let this happen. Gets a beloved indy guy that the crowd would love over as a top heel immediately like they did with KO. Not to mention, cocky douchebag heel Roderick Strong is amazing.

I haven't seen any of Roderick Strong's stuff, but I keep hearing about him. What matches or segments do you guys recommend?

 

These are some good ones I found on youtube. His match with Ishii earlier this year at Honor Rising was great too

 

While true, if the draft split came before he made his decision. I'm sure he easily could have been a top guy on one of the brands.

I don't think he would have been given the chance because of how injury prone he was.

 

It'd probably be difficult to find online but Roderick Strong/Jay Lethal at ROH Death Before Dishonor XIII was one of the best ROH matches i've ever seen.

The only two "potential returns" that made me shake my head were Jinder and Melina. They are both essentially worthless. Dreamer's style has a high age ceiling, and he's always up for putting people over, so I'm fine with him in that capacity. Maybe a team with Rhyno, or a feud with someone like Corbin would be fun. Carlito would be worth watching because he's a great promo and his "I don't give a fuck" is always turned up to 11. Stevie Richards is a bit of a headscratcher but the guy is in great shape.
