May Your Music Break My Eardrums Prestigious

One thing over the past couple nights I've noticed and liked is less locker room interviews where the camera hangs on the interviewer too long and more post match interviews ringside.

the post match interviews are a nice touch.....i am loving a lot of the little changes across the board

ziggler's been little more than an enhancement talent for two years and out of nowhere he's number one contender for the main title at one of the biggest pay per views. it makes the belt and the show look second rate. i'm sure he'll turn heel in the course of the build up if only because smackdown needs more credible heels, and maybe they thought this was the best way to do that, but it seems like an odd choice given the myriad of guys they could've elevated who haven't already gotten the main event pushes dolph has.

    man, I'm pretty Prestigious

the last time ziggler was relevant was survivor series 2014.

you can't just randomly insert a guy like that into the title match of the second biggest ppv of the year with no explanation or hook or character change whatsoever and expect people to buy into it.

edit: dolph still hasn't even fully recovered from the painfully pathetic character assassination that was the lana-rusev story, and that was in 2015

Dolph needs to turn in the next few weeks, Face versus Face should be saved for the biggest stars, otherwise it's too uneven in who the crowd is behind.

    Get stung

I think smackdown is going to be where they bring up nxt and free agents. Imagine this show with Joe and Nakamura. Could get real good real quick.

Slowly getting caught up on the G1 Climax tournament, watching day 3 atm. These non-tourney matches are better than normal

    #HEEL

You doofuses have complained about Dolph getting "buried" and "ruined" for 2 years and now it looks like they're doing something with him and it's stupid?

He also completely changed his look over the last year but yea he's stale, ok.

    A DILAPIDATED BOAT! Prestigious

I'm happy for Ziggler, think he deserves it, and i'm glad they're giving him the push, but it just seems kind of jolting to put him in that spot all of a sudden without giving him momentum to build to it. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt though and give it a chance.

Overall though Smackdown did not impress me that much last night, but i'll stick with it until at least Backlash in hopes that roster grows on me over time.

Ishii/Goto and Sanada/Okada are both very good matches from day three.

Looks like NXT will be just fine.

Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned that many of the wrestlers competing in the Cruiserweight Classichave been offered WWE contracts … but one big name couldn’t accept the deal quite yet.

Multiple sources tell us Zack Sabre Jr. was recently offered a contract. However, the young wrestler couldn’t sign it at this point in time due to a personal matter.

Good news though, we’ve learned he’s expected to take them up on the offer sometime next year.

Additionally, one well-placed source says contract offers have also been extended to TJ Perkins,Cedric Alexander, Noam Dar and Akira Tozawa. If all goes to plan, they’ll report for duty in September-October.

According to PWTorch, Kota Ibushi and Gran Metallik have inked deals as well. Ibushi has since done an interview though saying he hasn’t signed on the dotted line yet.

And lastly, tweets from Johnny Gargano and Tommasso Ciampa seem to suggest that both will soon be exclusive to WWE after finishing up their final indie appearances this summer.

    The Real Azor Ahai

I wonder who's gonna be sent straight to raw for the cw division there

  16. Nobody is ever happy in this thread lol. It's like pulling teeth with wrestling fans. I'm stoked for Ziggler, but my only thing is I think they should have waited until Backlash to do it since it's a B level event, since it screams a B level match.

  17. Hoping for heel Ziggler

Plus you also got Roddy and Tommy End coming in soon. Definitely fine.

  19. Also, I do think SD will become the superior show at some point in time. I can see them making a few trades to strengthen the roster.

Has Roddy actually confirmed anything? I think it'd be great for him to make a surprise appearance at a Takeover or some other live event. Do not want that shit being spoiled immediately.

Whatever happened to Eric Young? Around the time he debuted at Full Sail he implied he was going to have a full time NXT run, he then lost to Joe and hasn't been seen since, and no news has come up about him since. He debuted, everyone made a big deal about it, he lost, and then everyone forgot about him.

I think what we've learned is wwe had no plans and they were just going for the jugular ASAP

Nah brah, he hasn't said explicitly where he's going, but it's pretty much a given at this point that it's WWE. I'd love for him to just show up randomly at some Takeover and give backbreakers and sick kicks to everyone in the ring.

Some of their decisions have been weird with the TNA guys. What was the point of James Storm showing up at all? He's back at it putting guys over in TNA.

That's basically my ideal situation. Have Shinsuke get the belt at Brooklyn and then get assaulted by Roddy. lol
