Who would Becky go on to fight on Smackdown if her storyline with Natalya ended?

 

Can we at least have Natalya win in a screwy way? Making a babyface tap...ooooof that hurts.

ah see i disagree. Natalya isn't be showered with boo's when she comes out, she's being showered with yawns. This isn't going to help her get heat, this is just going to make Becky Lynch fans say 'wtf, stop this...let her win one please?'

 

I hear Natalya is supposed to be good in the ring, but I haven't liked a single match I've seen of her's since I started watching last year. Psychology is just bad.

 

I actually thought Natalya's heel work was on point in this match. Much better then it has been in the past few months. The posing in the ring, the bits where she would say random shit to Becky while she had in her in submission holds. Still laughing about her saying, "I love Becky, she's so beautiful!" in that cockass voice.

I just don't think it's a great look to have the face of your women's division lose in that fashion at a PPV. They did a good job of stretching out the sharpshooter for as long as possible before she did tap, but c'mon. If she were still on Raw, her losing would make some more sense, but you can't have the face of your brand losing over and over again. If I'm doing the booking, you have Becky running rampant over that entire division (ideally they would have one or two more girls to keep Becky away from Carmella and Bliss as you build them up even more), until you're ready to bring up someone like Asuka or Bayley to be a legit threat to her. Or even a returning Nikki.

 

Becky is a career underdog. She's gonna lose 90% of the time. If that really bothers you, you might want to pick another woman to follow.

 

That doesn't matter to me if they're going all in with that character for her. It's just that she's presented as one of the top three females on the entire roster and has now been made the face of an entire brand. That doesn't compute with losing feuds/multiple matches to someone like Nattie (who honestly probably should be viewed as just as much of a threat to the top prize in the division, but who has been soured by years and years and years of terrible booking, plus her own terrible acting). Becky as the underdog should be like Sisyphus. 9 times out of 10 she climbs the entire mountain only to go back to the beginning. But on that 10th time, she hits it big. It's the champ and those other females at the very top of the mountain (Charlotte, Sasha, Asuka, Bayley) who should be knocking Becky down, not Natalya.

 

i just dont think it's a great way to get Becky over. There's underdog when it comes to winning the big one and then there's underdog in terms of she loses to natalya clean on a ppv. Especially when you just did this whole "becky's not gonna take it anymore" angle.

 

Exactly right. I don't want or think Becky should be winning the title right now, or anytime in the near distant future. But she should be at the very top knocking on that door. It makes her finally winning it when she does more meaningful. If she loses 90% of the time, it doesn't make her winning the title finally more satisfying. It makes it harder to believe. It would be like giving Ziggler the belt right now even though he's lost to Baron Corbin 5 times straight.

 

why not? did you watch bayley in nxt? sami? bryan? it's basically the same story so far.

nobody is going to give a shit if she stomps nattie on some B tier ppv. you make her lose a lot, so that when she does win, it's huge. and that has to be in a match that matters.

Becky Lynch fans would probably disagree with you on that. I think they'd love to actually see her get a clean 1v1 PPV win for once....and the last thing they want to see is a clean tap-out loss. Wins and losses day in, day out, don't matter. I agree with that and she's no where near nuclear level of 'holy fuck she needs a win', but in terms of the storyline and what it feels like they're trying to do with her as the main girl on smackdown....I don't know, it just doesn't make sense.

 

something else to keep in mind is that natty just turned and is poised to be the top heel on SD (for now). not giving her the win to establish herself is just as much fuckery. most of this seems to boil down to "i like becky, so she needs a win to get her to a bigger position than she currently is in."

 

Ambrose retained? Woah. Roman pinned? Woah.

 

Ibushi says he was offered a contract, but would rather win the title in NJPW. Can't blame the guy.

 

Probably one of his punishments is having to lose clean a couple of times lol

 

The plan at MITB was changed to him getting pinned by Rollins only after everything came out, so yeah.

 

So return of the Big Gold World Heavyweight Championship belt tonight on RAW? Hopefully not some new RAW championship or something.

 

Would they just hand it to Rollins or have Reigns v Rollins or what

 

Really hope it's not handed to Rollins ala Triple H in 2002. Although it would be perfect if they wanted him to gain massive heat. I mean he already has the pedigree...(pun intended)

 

I wonder if we hear more on the Cruiserweight division tonight.
