I mean we know what's going to happen - Wyatts will win at battleground then Rowan and Braun will fight 2/3 of the New Day for the belts and lose.

This was pretty cool but also kind of weird at the same time.

The contract offer just seemed odd to me. "Hey if you ever want to leave the 2nd largest wrestling promotion in the world to work for the 3rd or 4th most popular indie promotion in the US where literally the only buzz it has going for it right now is that it has a working relationship with WWE, here's a contract!"

Not sure how it came across on TV, but she and Paige both got great reactions from my vantage point at the Raw in Tampa a couple weeks ago. And it's not like she was in the ring this past Monday with a top notch performer putting on a barn burner of a match. Considering she's been in there mainly with Dana, she's getting what you'd expect from a crowd reaction. Crowd was certainly into and reacting to her promo from a week ago

 

dont think it has anything to do with her not being on tv and everything to do with the storylines and characters not being compelling. i think charlotte winning every match the same way for six months took a lot of air out of the division.

 

I mean.. they kind of go hand-in-hand. The first step of having a good storyline is getting one to begin with. I really don't think we're saying different things. Unless you're implying that Sasha's meager-but-waning reaction is representative of the entire division, which I don't think is true.

 

Just haven't cared about anything in the women's division since WM. Feels like we've been in a holding pattern since

Disagree completely. The crowd reaction going into WM was great. All 3 were getting great reactions, the storyline was good, and the match itself was great. Then Sasha got 2 matches on TV and disappeared for 2 months. Understandably, people moved on from that excitement.

She has no story line because she didnt get revenge for Ric screwing her. She didnt get a 1-on-1 match. She faced Summer Rae in a squash, some garbage 8-person tag, and gone. Is there an actual reason she is facing Charlotte now instead of 2 months ago? Or why Natalya got a shot ahead of her?

Her disappearing is why the storyline is dead. And its contributed to Charlotte's reign being purposeless

 

The concussion is the only thing we could say, but even then she shouldn't have been gone for so long

 

Its telling that Titus O'Neil and Zach Ryder have both had more defined story lines than Sasha since WM.

Titus was suspended most of the time and has gotten more of a story.

I haven't seen the spoiled brackets yet, but I'm hoping to see The Brian Kendrick win a match. Always love seeing him around

I don't think another feud stemming from Charlotte winning the exact same way would've been all that compelling, especially when it's likely she would've come out on top again in the end anyway. If they were going to put the belt on Sasha around that time, she would've won it at mania. So at best it likely would've just delayed the moment we're at today, which is a women's division that's had the life sucked out of it by Charlotte's reign.

 

I wish so badly that he was going to be at the show on Saturday. Not having him and ACH is a huge bummer.

 

Guys, Smackdown spoilers confirm we are getting another trash Women's Division match at Battleground unless Sasha chooses Bayley as her tag partner. Charlotte is maintaining the belt until Summerslam.

 

Which begs the question why the fuck do you have Sasha come out like that and frame everything that way if you're going to shitcan the story for 6-8 weeks

 

There's no compelling non-title-changing story to be told with the way they've been set on building Charlotte. Which is why Charlotte retaining at WM is one of the worst booking decisions of the year so far (singlehandedly submarined an entire division) and I was SHOCKED that there were people that didn't see that immediately.

 

I'm glad someone is just uploading this shit. lol
