Jericho is sticking with the WWE until next year. No touring with Fozzy until then.

 

This simultaneously fills me with joy, and worries me that this may be his last run.

 

I definitely think this is his last full time run. He might do a WM here and there, but this is probably going to be it.

 

Jericho has said that he feels his career is coming to an end. I'd be sad of this was his last full time run, but man he's been great.

 

Glad Jericho is sticking around for the entire year. Won't be glad when he's gone.

 

Jericho should get a nice sendoff but somehow I doubt it. Triple H was never a huge fan of his. Plus he's most likely a heel until his retirement. Just hope it's not some bs JBL type of sendoff where he loses in a minute.

 

Crazy part is he's only been back since just before the Rumble. He's gotten a lot done in that time. Itd be nice for him to make it to the next Wrestlemania and close out there.

 

Just re-watched his return in 2012. Went from a face to a heel without saying a word. Classic stuff haha.

 

WM 33 is almost certainly gonna be Takers farewell. Jericho going out there too feels like it would get overshadowed.

 

The ROH subreddit is such a bummer. You'd think it was the NJPW subreddit.

 

I don't see anything wrong with two farewells. Sounds like something I would definitely be looking forward to actually.

Jericho has said a couple of times when he has taken breaks in the past that he doesn't want to have a "retirement angle", big sendoff match, etc. His tune has changed a fair bit since then in regards to his wrestling schedule in general, though. From a simply gut feeling perspective, it seems all the new talent has really restored a lot of passion for him, because he was pretty adamant on Fozzy and acting being his focus for a while, and those are all on the back burner in a major way now.

The thing is, if Vince has any whiff of Jericho's time coming to an end, I see a retirement angle being booked either way. Easy money, easy story, easy payoff. I don't know who I'd want it to be against. Probably a fellow Canadian like Zayn or Owens.

 

i do feel like we're getting a Jericho v Owens match here at some point.

 

They did one on the MSG Live Special that they aired on the Network last year with Lesnar v. Big Show and Cena v. Rollins, but it didn't have any storyline surrounding it.

 

I also wouldn't mind seeing more JeriKO
