this felt like a trial-run raw for football season. what little that was important was over before kickoff (930 est), nothing after that mattered.

bet they do something cheeky and announce that lesnar's opponent is whoever the wwe champion is

i can see them going reigns/lesnar II since the first match never got settled. that's the only real justification for keeping reigns in the triple threat at battleground.

I think it has to be Orton. He was slated to return months ago. Only reason we haven't seen him has to be that they were holding him back for something like this.

  4. Seems like a random feud though

In all the years Orton & Lesnar have been in the company, to my memory they've never been involved in any feud together. All the more reason I think it happens.

i think brock needs a feud with proper built in motivation. i dont know what fighting orton does for either of them at this point in their careers.

lesnar/reigns II also clears the way for rollins/hhh.

only semblance of doubt i have is that it'd be pretty risky to book lesnar for that prior to his ufc fight

Could Lesnar maybe get Corbin? Would be a great way to build him back up after he spend the three months after Mania fighting Ziggler a million times. Plus you don't blow your Orton return if Brock get's KOed at UFC 200.

Then again, its not a super sexy match. But they are low on sexy opponents for Brock to fight with the shield/Cena/AJ all in their own feuds.

If they do end up doing Orton/Lesnar, it would be cool if they brought back Orton's old "legend killer" gimmick to be a part of the angle.

So, Raw was bad? I watched a little bit but I don't think I can be bothered to finish it.

Caught bits and pieces of Raw last night. I can't imagine it was a great show, but everything I saw seemed like fun. Ryder standing tall at the end of Raw is one of the best things to happen in 2016 so far. As for Brocks Summerslam opponent, I hope the dirtsheets are true here. Won't spoil for anyone, but it would be a hell of a match if thats what it is. I wouldn't mind seeing Brock lose here too.

Edit: Adding that since Randy hasn't been relevant in a long time, and Brocks intrigue is starting to fade, I think an Orton win and Brock loss would be good for both of them. Randy is going to need to be a top star on whatever show he's on and a win would send him back to the top. Brock needs reasons to murder people again aside from that he's just good at it.

I always find funny when guys who can cut promos and be believable/good characters but the company just sentences them to be jobbers until their contract runs out. Then we have guys getting pushed who can't say two words on the mic but are winning feuds and are competing in major matches. Then we have wwe saying "the guys we're pushing deserve it and will get better in time" except most don't, you've also let them develop bad habits by coddling them and stunting their acting growth just because they have the "look". Vince is ridiculous sometimes.

Cant decide if the Crews/Cesaro arm wrestling match is funnier, or if its KO chilling and eating chips[IMG]

Just watched the food fight. It's so 80's/early 90's WWF era goofy fun.

    Jalen Ramsey is the GOAT

I just saw a backstage promo where Zack Ryder said this was the greatest year of his career, and while he has beat Y2J, won the IC title, and recently won a main event match on Raw, what about the year where he held the US championship for a month instead of just a day?

Raw was worth watching for the Food Fight bit and the Club alone.

a-cuttin' and a-strutting' and beating up John Cena.

Biggest take from Ricochet and Austin is that he'd like to beat Kushida for the belt in Japan before going to WWE. Not sure I buy it given his current state. lol
