Listening to Nancy Benoit's sister talking about the murder on Talk Is Jericho,

One of the most awkward things was her saying how the people saying in the media Daniel Benoit had Fragile X Syndrome was complete bullshit and extremely pissed her off, while Jericho agreed then slowly tried to change the subject. Jericho was one of the main guys perpetuating that bullshit in the media in the aftermath of murder... He was the first person I remember ever bringing that up.

I love that she talked about Nancy Benoit not getting her due from wrestling fans. She was so underrated as a manager. I especially loved her run as Sandman's valet in ECW.

 

They wrestled E&C at the house show I went to like 2 weeks ago. It was bad. Dudleys looked awful

 

At first I thought you meant Edge and Christian and I was really confused

 

Hernandez picked a fight and got his ass beat.

 

Progress with a realllllllly interesting guy grabbing the belt. If nothing else, they have some great characters.

 

Rumor is that NXT will definitely have six call-ups, but up to 12 can being going.

Carmella, Nia, and Bayley are the women likely to go.

 

Calling up Nia and Carmella over Auska? I guess they gotta leave someone to keep the women's division strong. They also fill very different roles. So I guess its safer to call those two up and save Auska for when you're ready for her to immediately enter the title picture.

If I had to guess nine guys getting called up I'd probably go (in order of likelihood): Finn, American Alpha, Nakamura, Joe, Tye, Austin Aries, Dash and Dawson

 

Nia is so bad but she's a Rock relative so obviously will get to the main roster.

 

Asuka's English is improving, but she definitely needs more promo time.

I'd say all of those guys are good choices. Not sure they want to pull up three champs at once. Makes it a little predictable that they are bound to drop. Hopefully they don't have the Authors of Pain going over D&D too quickly, or at all.

I don't get all the Nia hate here. She's obviously not the best, but she debuted like what? A year ago? And she's gotten a hell of a lot better since then. She's still growing as a performer. Not saying that she's not getting a push for being the Rock's cousin cause she obviously is, but she's not as bad as she's made out to be here

 

Yeah. I'd rather Dash and Dawson stay down and give Authors of Pain / TM61 / Ciampa and Gargano a bit more to work with, and also put the NXT title on Aries rather than calling him up and losing him in the mid card.

I don't see Joe dropping the title before leaving though. I think they'll vacate it and do a tournament to see who gets the belt. Would be a good way to introduce some new talent. But if they do that, they can have Dash and Dawson drop the titles and it wouldn't be too bad.

 

I personally find her offense really really boring. She's gotten better at promos, but she still isn't great. If she keeps up the monster rage thing, she might have something.

I don't know if they keep up Ciampa and Gargano as a tag team. Those guys are crazy good singles guys. I just prefer the work. That Ciampa/Aries match was the best.

I think they had said they want to try and stick with the tag tourney. That might be a good way to put the belts on someone else if they do end up vacating.

As for Aries, he is the perfect midcard guy. If they end up introducing a cruiserweight title, he'd be the perfect guy to have it first and really elevate it. He is being wasted in NXT.

 

alexa bliss should be up, she's great

nia's alright, spotty mic work but so does 90% of the division. she at least gives it something different physically.

 

Yeah, but its similar with Tye. Between the brand split, and the other new NXT call ups if they join now they'll get buried from the start. I'd rather they get called up after Takeover Brooklyn/Summerslam when things have settled more.

 

I want this more than anything.

 

her ring work's quality, she's a good talker, and she can be deployed as a manager if so chosen. super versatile and i dont know why she's still down there.

 

would rather see asuka up and carmella stay down

 

i'd like carmella up if only because we might see some integration between the men and women again. they basically exist in separate universes right now.

 

I dont feel like Alexa ever got a real monster push, I could see her being a manager for someone though.

 

Hopefully Peyton and Billie are used more after some of the women get called up

 

Billie is my fave of the jobber bunch. I'd like to see Liv get a push. Someone said the other day that she is basically the middle ground between Alexa and Carmella. Basically the perfect description.

 

And its the best of both worlds. She can be a filler woman for one of the brands, and also be there to hype up E/C matches.

Especially with two touring brands, they need the extra 10-12 people just to fill out tag matches each night

I think Dash and Dawson stay. Only way them winning the titles back makes sense, really. There's plenty of low-level heel tags teams anyway.

Kinda wonder if we'll see Mojo come up and continue the Hype Bros thing as a jobber tag for some brand.

 

When was the last time we saw Billie? And we've seen Purazzo like every other week

 

Yeah, we've seen her and Ricochet's girlfriend a bunch.

 

Carmella deserves and NEEDS a legitimate singles run, preferably in a place that welcomes trial and error. She doesn't wanna be a valet for the rest of her career like Lana. She's said that multiple times.
