They don't wrestle, they just have a promo war and then do an episode of the Art of Wrestling in the ring.

    LU Post

Overall the episode was okay, but wasn't thrilled with any of it. Opening 3 way was too short to be anything spectacular. Trios tag match was good, but nothing more. It seemed like Rey and Son of Havok weren't on the same page at all but found a way to make it work so good for them. Really disliked the main event. It was pretty boring and they were just doing the same spots over and over again. The story telling in the match wasn't anything new either, aside from Catrina in the casket all of those spots were basically from their last match. Loved the ending with King Cuerno though, stoked for that feud. Last point: get Striker as far away from the commentary table as possible. He's a close number 2 to JBL on the worst of list. Rant over

I thought the opposite. The spots we pretty similar but THE HAND THROUGH THE CASKET! I'm definitely over the mixed trios matches. Can't wait until we get to the one they hinted at at the beginning of the tourny.

ANd you shut your mouth about Striker. Dude is GOLD.

Hand through the casket was great and totally marked for it. I've never liked Striker even in his WWE days, he's just not what I like in a commentator I guess

My love for Striker comes from his level of detail. If you are new to a show (njpw, lu) he'll hit all of the major points to the point that you know this character quite well without every having seem them. A lot of our is over the top and sensational, but he gets me pumped. When he marks, I find myself rewinding to see what I might have missed.

    wtf. Fuck Ryback.

According to the performer contract figures sent by our sources, prior to recent re-signings, Ryback was making as much as Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns. He was only making slightly less than Daniel Bryan was prior to his retirement.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is currently adding further details to the public story, saying that not only was it the contract figures that were in contention, but further requests made by Ryback. These included having his road expenses and hotels paid for when traveling with WWE, as well as having his contract guaranteed for its full term, meaning he would still get paid in full even if he was released at any point.

The general consensus seems to be that Ryback will be kept off of television until his contract expires on August 8, 2016. Our sources tell us that upcoming television plans that were circulated today do not have Ryback listed anywhere on the talent rosters.

Key thing there is "prior to recent re-signings". I would guess that since Ambrose/Rollins/Reigns/Ryback all came up around the same time and received similar pushes initially, they were all on the same (ballpark) deal before the new contracts. It would make sense that the Shield guys were given a hefty raise without question, and when Ryback was offered a deal that was a drop in pay, he did not like it.

WWE contracts are already shady as fuck, so good on Ryback for standing up to them. If he's comfortable walking away, so be it.

Even still, making slightly less than DBry is kinda crazy

Yup seriously, the guys are putting their body on the line day in, day out. Regardless of what we think, if they feel they are being undervalued they shouldn't just stick around to placate management who'll likely never give them what they think they are worth.

That says more about how Bryan was being paid than Ryback was.

It also may just be downside guarantees, not merch sales.

    man, I'm pretty Prestigious

Ryback was main eventing ppvs before the Shield even debuted on the roster. If this was their first time deals then he was underpaid if anything. Bryan being at that level despite being one of the biggest stars in the company blows my mind though.

Despite being a lifelong wrestling fan, I went almost 20 years without going to a show. Last month, I went to my first ever show at NXT Concord, and it was one of the best experiences I've had. My second show is gonna be a WWE live event this Saturday in Raleigh, and I'm probably most excited for KO. Hoping Sasha makes an appearance

starting LU from the start. What an awesome concept with the cutaway scenes being shot like a film

Whoever said its the perfect thing to start a non-wrestling fan with is right. Way tighter storylines than anything WWE can pull off
