A few things:

-They didn't gel well
-The whole package was supposed to be a big win at WM and then them taking on the Wyatts
-The whole thing just fell apart with the injury to Bray and Luke

Wait, so the League is broken up now? That's good. There was really no reason for them to be around after Sheamus stopped chasing the world title.

 

Went to RAW last night. Haven't steadily watched wrestling since I was in 6th grade or so (other than Wrestlemania 2015) but it was a lot of fun and I was able to get into the storylines pretty easily.

 

As someone coming back into wrestling after a long while not watching what wrestlers and storylines were you into?

 

Is it bad that my response to people saying, "I just started watching wrestling again" is, "Okay, now go watch LU." ??

 

hahah, just saw Kalisto/Ryback is on the pre-show again. Good god, might as well just rename the belt the pre-show championship.

 

Crazy how far that belt has fallen. Went from Cena having some fantastic matches with the whole midcard, etc... to irrelevance in the blink of an eye. I still don't understand why the IC/US title isn't a factor in the Zayn/Owens feud. They could create some classics.

Although I have to say, I'm surprised at how the Miz/Cesaro feud is progressing. It's pretty enjoyable

 

Yep, I get why Kalisto got it, but, if they have no plan for him (and they clearly dont if in 100+ days of title reign, he gets 2 opponents), put the belt on someone who can highlight other wrestlers.

 

i'm glad they didn't infuse a title into a feud that didn't need it.

 

zayn/owens would not be mainly about the title, therefore it shouldn't be involved

 

I get that. It's a good enough feud without it. But if you're going to have two wrestlers who aren't over in the least bit fight over the title on a pre-show, at least highlight it a little bit more. It could have even fit into the Payback theme (Owens took the NXT title from Zayn, Zayn's coming to take the IC title away from Owens).

I'm just frustrated that a year of Cena building that title up has essentially gone to shit.

 

Is it impossible to save Rusev's character at this point?

Listening to Sami Zayn on Jericho's podcast. Sami is such a weird dude lol. "Where are all the graveyards?"

Also I love that this is the 2nd week in a row we get a Cliff Compton story on Jericho's podcast.

 

If they're smart, when the league dissolves, it should be Rusev breaking it up cause he hates failure. And he goes back on his undefeated streak destroying jobbers like the Social Outcasts, etc.

The Lana/Summer thing hurt him a lot, but, send him back into Brock Lesnar mode and he'll be fine. His ring work is solid and his gimmick works well as a heel. Though not well against Reigns, since he'd probably be more over.

He could be the one to destroy Kalisto and take the US title back.

 

So I'm going to assume Ric Flair's time with the WWE is going to be over soon. First he tells Natalya to kill herself at the Smackdown tapings last night and this morning he was allegedly detained at Logan Airport in Boston for being drunk and disorderly and wasn't allowed on his flight. Woooooo.

 

Sad about that chain of events, but, THANK GOD for the idea of him moving on

 

Geez. It is pretty bad.

 

Charlotte's face was like oh shit there goes my push. Ambrose cracking up too, yikes.

 

TMZ says he was eventually deemed fine and not drunk. Also, that slip of the tongue was awful, but it can be edited out so I don't expect him to be in trouble.

 

That's absolutely awful.
