that might also be the fastest title loss in WWE history...

But like, a god damn distraction roll up? Shit, at least have Cena lay him out with an AA or something. A distraction roll up is just stupid.

You're right, but, considering who Corbin lost to, and how....that feels like someone who they gave up on.

Yeah I don't care that he lost. But he should have cashed in immediately and then maybe Cena gets involved instead of walking up then back down

It also sucks that the champ loses all the damn time. If you're gonna put the belt on him for whatever reason, at least try to make him look somewhat competent

Agreed, but I'm trying to think from the illogical point of view haha. For all we know Corbin beats Cena and then Shane makes him #1 contender because he lost on distraction and beat Cena at SS and the cash in loss is almost entirely forgotten.

seems so scary to be buried

I'll wait to see SS before I cast any judgment on that. If Cena buries Corbin, well then that confirms they gave up. But, this still opens the potential for Corbin to unleash and go on a rampage and take out Cena, now that things are "personal" between the two.

And it adds a little more suspense to the ending of Shinsuke/Jinder

Shane doesnt even have to make him #1 contender. He has a legit gripe with Jinder if he retains; and he has a feud with Nak he could easily restart.

For the overall storytelling of MITB, and for a swerve, this was great. For Baron....man, its just rough

How excited is @bones right now that he witnessed Corbin's failed cash in?

Im just glad that this likely means Shinsuke gets a legit title run starting Sunday, and we might actually get a worthwhile face run for the first time in a while

Also just realized that now I am scared Carmella isnt gonna cash in at SS, and either Naomi stays champ (snooze), or Natty wins (fuck that)

Maybe Corbin tries to convince Bryan and Shane that it wasn't fair that Cena interfered and he gets the briefcase back? Or do cash ins not count that shit? Can't remember

Yeah but he just legit interfered in the match like 5 minutes before, if he cashed in after someone lost, maybe.

Just like they did the title change at the MSG house show to make them feel like anything can still happen, did this to make it feel like anything can happen on a go home for a PPV.

lol facebook spoiled for me the fact that there was a cash in but I totally didn't see it going like that.

this whole company is a joke. should really just give up and follow NJPW instead its just at such shit hours

    My 3 big takeaways:

    1) I think Corbin is moderate to bad but I was stooooooked thinking I'd get to see a cash-in. Not sure if you could tell on TV but Cena was up on the apron for so fucking long that it def seemed like he was gonna get involved before it went down. Was pretty lame.

    2) Shane was easily the biggest pop of the night and it's pretty wild he's still getting a crazy reaction being back as long as he has

    3) People are definitely starting to cheer for Jinder (minus that opening segment which was just weird), but it could have been the Cena factor

P fun show but man I forgot how many long breaks there are with live TV vs a PPV

Corbin looked to the apron probably 3 or 4 times between handing the briefcase away and the bell ringing. Felt obvious Cena was gonna interfere; I assumed the bell would never ring

Thinking out loud they could have:

    -Rung the bell
    - have Corbin duck a clothesline or something from Cena
    - have that clothesline hit Jinder instead
    - ref sees it and match ends in DQ which costs Corbin the match / title

Still builds heat for the match at SS while keeping Corbin from looking weak off a roll up pin but we'll see. Corbin looks foolish now but who knows what happens at SS

Well tactically it makes sense for Cena to wait for the bell to ring to interfere in order to screw Corbin even more.
