oh shit i didnt even realize Corbin had a new theme. I like the initial chanting but then it kinda goes into generic. Too bad cause i really liked his titantron with the black overcoming the city (his original theme was whatever)

 

Street Profits were really fun. I'm already pumped for their eventual match with Heavy Machinery. I feel like Dozo and Ford could do some really entertaining stuff together.

yes. montez ford is actually amazing too. very fluid in the ring and has a shit ton of charisma. he's going to get over huge

 

Yeah he was legitimately over at my show. Most athleticism than anyone outside of the women's match.

 

I really dig the idea of the tattoo Gallows got. (most of his are pretty bad)

 

I can't really get behind Dawkins but Ford looks pretty good

I heard good things about Bruce Prichard's podcast so I started listening to the one about CM Punk and all is is one guy just straight up reciting the BITW DVD bit by bit, Prichard interjecting to confirm or deny certain thing, and random Vince McMahon impressions. Are they all like this or did I just pick a bad one? 3+ hours of this shit for one episode?

 

A lot of his sleeve tattoos look like he should be in avenged sevenfold.

GLOW renewed for season 2 on Netflix

 

At work today I dropped "we're a million dollar company that should be a billion dollar company" in honor of CM Punk's original pipe bomb line and while the majority of the room was blown away by my cleverness there was one cheeky motherfucker who smirked and nodded in full knowledge of where my words came from.

 

im not sure if its been brought up before, but you think, or actually, are you surprised the WWE hasn't considered doing some sort of crossover promotion with GLOW?

 

I'm not at all surprised. This is a company that, according to Batista, passed on him coming back around the same time Guardians was being released because they didn't think the film would be that big of a deal.

There's a reason all the pro wrestlers that were in season 1 of GLOW were all indie/former WWE guys. I could totally see a world were early on the creators of the show tried to reach out to WWE and were totally ignored. Especially since the original GLOW wasn't a VKM production or something WWE later acquired. Though I think given how much attention has been put on women's wrestling by the company in the past year, it would have been amazing if WWE partnered with them in some way. Maybe even try to get the tape library to GLOW and put it on the network to coincide with the show's release.

 

G1 Finals this weekend. Lets gooooooo.

 

The first womens MITB match was 5 days before GLOW released; they could easily have made a big deal around that.

Instead we got Ellsworth (which, to be fair, was hilarious and worth it from my view...but probably less so from Becky/Charlotte/etcs)

 

I think it's pretty reasonable that WWE wouldn't want to partner with a Netflix original. Never mind the fact that it's 'based' on a company that Vince didn't have anything to do with and wasn't ever a threat to WWE/WWF.

 

Yeah, but they also love their viral moments. They have so many womens "moments" happening in this 3 month period around GLOW, and yet they arent doing anything.

WWE has a lot of opportunity to grab back some cultural relevance. Instead, the guy in charge doesnt even believe people should be watching things that arent wrestling

WWE has already grabbed a ton of cultural relevance. I don't think GLOW gets made if wrestling in general didn't start to catch a resurgence four years ago or so.
