yeah the heat on enzo has been known for quite some time... i mean, when there's a super hot tag team in the company doing absolutely nothing, in semi-buried mode, there's a reason.

WWECW is such a glorious train wreck and I was floored to realize it actually lasted 4 years.

And why the hell was Angle on the ECW side at the beginning?

 

Angle being on ECW was one of the only things they initially got right imo to push the whole "we're not just weapons we have good wrestling too" bit. The problem is that WWECW in fact had neither weapons or good wrestling. Fun fact: Heyman courted Angle after his olympic win and tried to get him to sign, and so an ECW show was the first Angle ever attended. It was the show that had Raven crucify Dreamer and Angle was super offended.

Did you watch the WWE v. ECW special that was like an episode 0? The main event was Cena v. Sabu in an Extreme Rules match... that ended in a disqualification. The train wrecked before it left the station.

Yeah I knew about the ECW thing back before he came to WWF, and I'm watching that special now and was like what the hell is Angle doing with ECW? He has this feud with Orton going I guess but they aren't really explaining why he's on the ECW side. I just figured it would've made more sense to start out with all the originals, even if there are goobers in there like Whipwreck and Justin Credible.

Yeah, Shane had the right idea with wanting it to be a small venue show separate from the main roster that they streamed as a web exclusive and slowly trickle in developmental talent on. Would've worked exponentially better.

Did I hear right that May Young Classic is really going to just be all dumped on the network at the same time? Or just the first round? Either way, seems way less social than CWC. Getting just the hour a week gave far more time to discus / savor the matches.

I love these tournaments WWE have been doing. CWC and the UKC were excellent and i've no doubt that this will be great too. And it's awesome for those of us that don't get to watch much wrestling outside of WWE (if that sometimes) due to stupid grown up life stuff because it showcases talents we may not have seen otherwise.
